If the lens is not a 52mm lens, then a step up adapter is needed. The UV Filter seems to have the best multicoating, perhaps because it is easier to see on a clear piece of glass. These are not high grade B&W or Tiffen filters , but they are useful, fit my budget and were part of a package when I bought a Panasonic GX1. Great Budget Filter Kit for Everyday Photography

I bought the ProOptic 77mm Digital Essentials Filter Kit mainly for the UV filter, and it works well for protecting my lens during everyday use. The filters fit nicely on my lens and are easy to screw on and off. The UV filter keeps dust and scratches away from the lens, and I didn't notice any loss in image quality. The polarizing filter is useful when shooting outdoors because it reduces glare and makes colors look a little richer, especially for skies and water. Perfect For Cinema!

I always love using these lenses, I currently have 2 sets for my 72mm and my 82mm. My only critique would be how compact the spacing is, so when you take the lens in and out of the case it is often really difficult due to the poor spacing size, other than that its great!

Bundle with Nikon lens incompatible.

Filters seem well made, but I can't use them. They were bundled with a Nikon 200-500 lens. The issue is the lens has a 1.0 mm thread pitch and there's filters have a .75 mm thread pitch. If your thinking about these filters check your thread pitch requirements before you purchase them

High build quality and very affordable filter set.

This ProOptic 72mm set of filters was part of a kit for my Sony 20-70mm f/4 G lens. I immediately tried out the CPL and it fit well, and functioned excellent. There were no issues at 20mm. The polarization is noticeable and my images suffered no degradation in sharpness. The other two filters appear to be just as well made. But I have less need and use for them. Perhaps when it's a rainy day, or I find myself in desert sunlight. Overall, this came in handy for my new lens purchase. The CPL performance is better than other 3rd party brands I've owned.

The ProOptic Digital Essentials Filter Kit features:

Ultra Violet (UV) Filter


Absorbs the ultraviolet rays natural to the atmosphere which often makes outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct. The color balance remains completely unaffected. The Multi-Coated UV filter is useful for color as well as black and white photography. This essential filter shields your expensive lenses from abrasion and stray damage as a front element protector. Filter Factor of 1x (no exposure change).

Ultra Violet (UV) Filter

Circular Polarizer (CPL) Filter


Reduces glare and enhances color by selectively cancelling the amount of reflected polarized lightwaves caused by a wide variety of objects, such as glass from buildings, cars and vessels, the sky and clouds, foliage, precious gems, pavement, sand, snow and water. In landscape photography, a CPL can piercehaze revealing dramatic vistas, increase tone and color vibrancy plus give the illusion of depth. By carefully rotating the rings of the filter, you can observe the cancellation effect in the viewfinder tothe degree that you desire. The filter has no effect on metallic substances as they do not reflect polarized light and little effect on flash as the light source must be polarized as well. The Filter Factor varies from 1.25x to 2x depending on the strength of effect.

Neutral Density (ND2x) Filter


Neutral Density filters evenly reduce the amount of light passing thru the lens without effecting color. They are ideal for situations when a narrow depth of field is needed and the lighting is too bright to allow for large apertures with your chosen shutter speed. Likewise, they allow for slower shutter speeds when you want to record objects in motion. ND filters are a must have tool for filmmakers as well. The ND Filter also lets you use high speed films in bright light, in case you haven't gone digital yet. The Filter Factor is 2x - reduces the light one f/stop.
