This product works great for purpose of protecting my lens and preventing me from losing my lens cap.

Protection of lens

I have not had good luck with these. The sticky part that attaches to the lens cover dosen't stay stuck for very long. If I get a couple of weeks out of one I'm doing great. Nothing worse than sitting in a tree blind for three hours waiting for the subject to arrive - and when I get my chance I carefully take off the lens cover and let it go...it's attached - right? Or not. Mine dropped 24 feet tinking and tanging on every branch to the ground!! 
The subject, of course, left in a great rush and then suddenly, I was sitting alone in the quiet again lol. 
I use them still, but I don't trust the sticky stuff. Clean the spot you want to stick to on the cap and put a blob of some extreme glue, mine is all temp Gorilla Glue. And??  The tether has stayed connected to this day!

Great concept...crappy creation.

My prior tether was tied to the camera. This one has as stretch loop that slips over the lens. It works most of the time, but you have to be aware that the loop can slip off the lens if not periodically adjusted.

Good lens cap tether.  One has held tenaciously.  Another lost its grip, thus the 4 Stars instead of 5.

Simple and Functional Lens Cap Tether

It broke. The string pulled out of the part that adheres to the lens cap. I'd had it installed for maybe a day when it came loose and dropped to the floor while I was shooting. I'd rather have no lens keeper at all - at least when the cap is in my pocket, I can be pretty sure it won't go skittering across the floor at an inopportune time.

Poorly-made

Works great, took the advice of another user and lightly sanded a small spot before adhering. I haven't put it to a lot of use yet so I can't attest how long it will hold, but I have 3M tape to replace if necessary

I have a couple of these and a couple of the Vivitar cap keepers, which cost twice as much. The adhesive on these is much better than the Vivitars'.

This came in a package and was the one thing I didn?t ever know I needed until I got it. Sticks on well and is very reliable. Never again think, in what pocket did I put my lens cap because it will be dangling around when you need it.

Nice little idea but the string with clip came loose. I was able to adjust the prongs so it somewhat holds the cap and sits tight. I don?t think it it something I would?ve thought about purchasing but nice to have nonetheless.

This things never seem to work for me, no matter the brand.  They don't stay attached, so I still loose my lens caps.

This item came free with a lens I bought. I'm usually pretty good about keeping track of my lens caps, so I don't really have much of a need for lens tethers, but for someone who often misplaces their caps, I could see how it would be helpful.
