Superb storage capacity and speed!

You kinda can’t beat the cost per TB of this array… There are cheaper options, but not by much and as a pre-configured, tested, and ready-to-go RAID… this is a great configuration. I’m using it as RAID5, formatted for APFS and connected to my Mac via Thunderbolt 3 (its only interface). Write speeds of (on avg) 1400MB/s and read speeds of (on avg) 930MB/s (tested with BlackMagic’s Disk Speed Test @ 2GB stress level). If there’s a downside, it’s the fan noise… but it’s not terrible. Made a little bit more problematic by the shorter cable they include. If you’re going to buy a longer (2m) Thunderbolt3 cable, make sure it’s an “Active” cable vs a “Passive” cable. Active will be more than twice as much, but I think worth it in the long run to keep the full speed possible if you every want to add devices down the chain.

Well Worth Every Penny

The hard drive came as described in the listing, on time, and works great. Once set up, this hard drive does all the work. Cannot recommend enough.
