Included with this portable umbrella are one each of gold and silver light-enhancing discs. These innovative light modifiers can alter the color of your light, add more sparkle and contrast, and increase light output by a half stop, offering you greater control over your lighting conditions.
With its generous 46" size, the SoftLighter II is perfect for capturing 1 - 2 person head-to-waist shots or setting up a 3x4 ft product display. It's capable of illuminating an area of 11 sq ft, making it a versatile choice for both studio and on-location shoots.
This model features a thinner-than-usual 7mm umbrella shaft, making it compatible with older Elinchrom and Profoto flash heads. Please note, for mounting shoe mount flash units to the SoftLighter II, a shoe mount light stand/umbrella adapter is necessary. Shoe mount flash units must be set to Manual as the entire flash will be inside the umbrella, unless the flash unit is equipped with a remote sensor. This umbrella is designed for strobe use only and should not be used with hot lights or modeling lights over 250 watts.
