Photek OP54 46" Hot Shoe Diffuser, Shoe Mount Adapter & Hook & Loop w/o Umbrella (46")

This diffusion cloth, umbrella reflector panels (gold and silver) and flash umbrella stand -- appear to be designed for the Photek OP54 46" Umbrella / Photek SoftLighter II 46" White Umbrella. I picked this up on sale and thought it might fit a 45" reflective umbrella I have... however mine has 8 ribs/prongs while this diffusion cloth has 10 grommets to match 10 rib/prong umbrellas. I hope this helps anyone else attempting to use this for another umbrella they may have, as I may attempt to make it fit my 45" umbrella with 8 ribs by adding some tenacious repair tape and additional grommets.

Great product, simple to use. Softer than a softbox due to the fact that you are first bouncing the flash off the umbrella. Used with Nikon and Youngnou flashes.

I bought this as a replacement diffuser because the one that came with the softlighter kit was stolen. I actually like this one much better. They say it is made for hotshot flashes, which it works very well for. But I use Elenchrom flashes as well, and unless I spend extra for the smaller 7mm shaft umbrellas, I have to use them off-set via the tilt head bracket. Doing this with the other softlighter was impossible, but now it works out perfectly.
