I do recommend this item. As of this date they do have a bug in the system when the camera menu is up and times out.

In the spirit of progress, they actually removed features: * NO LONGER ADDS CAMERAS VIA WEB. You MUST use the LCD panel to add/remove/manage cameras. Doesn't sound so bad until you realize there's NO EDIT, so have fun deleting and re-entering. * Doesn't appear to support ONVIF anymore, which seems to be how I had the old one working with my cameras. * Can't get it working with a lab full of PTZOptics SDI units. Meanwhile, all the same cameras continue to work just fine with the Gen.2 joystick unit. (They all claim to have port 5678 open but no luck.) Has weird stability issues too. Managed to lock it up and had it display what looked like a binary memory dump on the LCD. Wouldn't respond to on/off switch, stayed on when I flipped the switch (??) Had to unplug the Ethernet cable to remove PoE and reset.

Works great, have used the gen1 and gen2 and this one is so much simplier as far as functionality and the ability to add and delete cameras

Completely Re-designed 3rd Generation IP Joystick
PTZ Camera Controller with Joystick
Completely re-designed once again, with over three years of customer feedback and optimized functionality. Our new PTZ joystick controller is now better than ever.
Take control of your PTZ cameras with this low-latency IP connected joystick. This IP joystick controller now includes advanced PTZ speed controls, access to the on-screen display menu, focus lock and much more. Watch our short setup video to see how easy it is to use PoE (Power Over Ethernet) to power this joystick and connect it to your network. Once connected, you can remotely control multiple PTZ cameras using a single ethernet network connection to the PTZ joystick controller.
Low-Latency PTZ Joystick
This joystick is now driven by the SONY VISCA Over IP Procotol and therefore has eliminated the latency involved with older joystick controllers.
You asked and we listened. This joystick is ready for any professional video application with six camera switching hotkeys and access to even the finest camera detail settings over IP.
Once your camera is connected to your LAN (Local Area Network) this PTZ joystick can be set up to control it. With the ability to quickly access up to 6 cameras with a single button press and over 100 camera with a simple process, you can control an advanced production or an entire building full of PTZOptics cameras. This IP joystick controller is ideal for audiovisual and IT professionals who need to remotely manage multiple PTZ cameras on their network.
Easy Operation
We made PTZ camera control easy enough for volunteers and advanced enough for broadcast professionals.
The camera control experience with a joystick is ideal for volunteers and those new to PTZ camera operation. Providing novice users with a pre-configured PTZ joystick controller is perhaps the best way to get new producers up and running. The simple button layout is intuitive and ideal for teaching the concepts of remote camera operation in your broadcast club or on the field. Extend the power of your existing network using IP connectivity to remotely control your PTZOptics cameras.
Easy pan, tilt & zoom controls for your PTZOptics camera! Controls pan & tilt with variable speeds that now match every option inside PTZOptics cameras. Use 2 & 3-dimensional joystick with "twist" control of focus and zoom! Easily set up pan and tilt limits using the latest version of the PTZOptics camera firmware.
Tip: Setup pan limits to restrict camera operators from moving outside a given area. Set up boundaries limits for fast-moving sports games like Basketball and Hockey. In this way, your camera operators can quickly move to the left or right without ever "overshooting" the game space boundaries.
Tip: Lower tilt limits when tracking presenters on stage. If your camera operators are mainly concerned with a left to right movement, avoid accidentally tilting the camera up or down by reducing the cameras motor speeds for this action.
Single Cable Simplicity
The 3rd generation IP Joystick includes PoE (Power Over Ethernet). Take control of cameras all across your network with a single Ethernet cable connection. Simplify your next Joystick setup with a PoE network switch.
