I bought this as I needed at least 16 feet to hold a large background.  This fit perfectly in my impact background system.  I ended up with plenty of length.  Be aware, depending on how heavy your background is, you may need to add a center support.  I used a 3rd stand, magic arm and clam as my middle support and it worked great.
