This item is needed so that the Ranger RX will work with the elinchrom skyport remote triggers, in addition it also works well with a recently acquired Sekonic 478 DR-u. A necessay addition so that this old strobe integrates with the rest of the equipment.

I am now able to mix and match my speed lights with my strobes and control all from my camera...... Great doesn't cover it.

I opted for the Pocket Wizard system on an Elinchrom Ranger AS Speed because sometimes I use speedlights in conjunction with other main lights and I don't know of a way to integrate the Elinchrom skyport system with speed lights. Use this with the AC Zone controller on a couple of speedlights and you can light just about anything and control it from one place. Great flexibility, you can program the length of time the modeling light stays on through the Pocket Wizard utility (great for evening shoots), and it just plain works.

The PowerST4 Receiver enables remote power control of Elinchrom RX flashes using PocketWizard ControlTL technology. With a MiniTT1 Transmitter or FleXTT5 Transceiver on your camera and a PowerST4 plugged into your Elinchrom RX flash, you can now adjust the flash power settings directly from the camera position. Add the AC3 ZoneController and you can control three different zones of lights in 1/3-stop increments with up to a six-stop range. Utilize PocketWizard's unique features such as HyperSync and Optimized Rear Curtain Sync for maximum control of your lighting
