Full honesty, I am a newbie to this art and love it. I saw first hand photos taken with this lens and was inspired to purchase it. Excited to become as good as the lens ! Well packaged, great lens bag and solid construction.

This is an exceptional lens. The colors produced using this lens are extremely good, and it has great contrast. It is relatively sharp, though not the sharpest lens, but it is better than most. It is one of my favorite lenses, though not my most used, because it is too wide for some applications. It's a superb tool for indoor shooting, with 15 mm at F4 you can get by with some low shutter speeds. It has distortion, but I would expect more at 15mm. I like the built in hood on this lens, although it can get pushed back in easily. This one lens that you can say looks as good as it performs, it is a beautiful lens.

Wasn't sure just what I was buying but after limited use I am very pleasantly surprised by both quality of lens and sharpness of photos taken.

For me I really did not like the 15mm limited lens on my K3. The build quality is amazing but that's where the disappointment started for me the image quality is not there the lens is not Sharp especially around the edge of the frame it is very soft even when you go to the middle f stops it also has purple for engine for me I hope the lot more for this lens and I was truly not happy I felt that I wasted my money

I don't have a lot of discretionary money to spend on prime lenses, so when I picked two, I picked this one and a 35 mm. I like my k-s2 camera and the lense that came with it is ok but the outstanding color and sharpness of this prime lense are just off the chart. Can't wait for my next vacation to take it with me.

I own several Pentax lens but wanted a wide prime that was small enough to hike with in the Alps. This Pentax 15mm meets my need for an excellent landscape lens with great color and sharpness. It will work well on my K3.

I had been debating between this lens and DA 21mm f/3.2 for a long time and finally went for the DA21 because of its versatile focal length. However, after I compared these two recently, DA 15mm can certainly deliver better image quality especially in terms of corner resolution and control of PF. The lens cap design somehow discourages me from using is and I have decided to replace it with a protector.

Lens seems immune to flare when shooting directly into or near the sun. Macro closeups are excellent, even though this is not a true macro. Bokeh is very pleasing. Auto focus is fast and quiet.

I've been wanting a wide angle prime lens for some time now so when this one came on sale I jumped on it. Been using it for a week now and am amazed at the lack of flare, sharpness, and contrast it has.

The real attraction of this lens is the very small size and light weight compared to both zoom and other prime ultra-wide lenses. Image quality is best when stopped down to around f8 and quite acceptable otherwise without being breathtaking. Build quality is excellent and lovely to handle except for the screw-on lens cap which is a real pain and swapping it for a pinch lens cap will save a lot of frustation. Overall, worth buying if size and weight are the major considerations.

Great lens as all limited lenses from Pentax. Ideally I would like to have them all.

Like all the Pentax Limited lenses this one is incredibly well constructed with all metal parts and a very smooth focus throw. Color saturation is great with good center sharpness throughout its f range and corners comming along after 5.6. The screw-in lens cap is nice for looks but a pain to use in the field. Fortunately a squeeze-style 49mm lens cap works just fine in its place.

It is a great compact wide angle lens by PENTAX. Metal coating makes it durable and look good. Hardly no distortion, which makes the lens with this size very attractive. Fast focusing and seamless switch between autofocus and manual focus. only one disadvantage is that it is a little bit noisy when autofocusing due to the lack of USM motor.

After reading the stellar reviews about this lens, I decided to buy. However, I was very disappointed with it's performance - ok center sharpness but very soft in the corners at almost every aperture. Terrible CA's (red/blue fringes) on the edges - in not very high-contrast situations either. Distortion was also an issue but I guess you'll get that with a 15MM perspective. Perhaps I just got a bad copy but this was a big letdown... This lens is built like a tank and has a great feel but QC needs to be improved

A very nice lens for travel. Easy to carry, amazing output. Better than any other pentax wide-angle (including my 16-50, 16-45).

One of the main reasons to buy Pentax is for their Limited prime lenses. Small, beautifully constructed, with generally excellent optics. This little wide angle has extremely low distortion, is very flare-resistant, produces rich colors and nice contrast. A little corner softness and some CA under certain shooting conditions does not detract much from the overall quality of this lens.

Great lens as all limited lenses from Pentax. Ideally I would like to have them all.
Compact and lightweight, this wide-angle lens is perfect for prime shooters who like to travel light but still demand the highest-quality images. Like all PENTAX Limited lenses, it features the unsurpassed durability of high-grade aluminum construction. This lens is ideal for wide-angle applications, including group shots, tight interiors, and sweeping landscapes.
