Pentax 7x32 AD Series ED Waterproof Roof Prism Binoculars with 7.8 Degree Angle of View

Just introduced to the A-series, the 7x32 AD Series ED Waterproof Roof Prism Binoculars with a 7.8 Degree Angle of View are the first models to incorporate ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements. This innovative feature ensures a crystal clear, high-contrast view of the image field, effectively compensating for chromatic aberration.

Belonging to the AD-series, these binoculars are roof prism models with objective lenses. They offer the same superior viewing quality as their larger S-series counterparts, thanks to the application of advanced coatings. Despite their compact size, these binoculars do not compromise on optical performance, making them a portable and durable choice for users seeking mobility convenience.

The binoculars boast new fully multi-coated lenses, phase correction, BaK4 prism, and an enhanced light transmission coating. These features work together to provide sharp, high-contrast images. The binoculars also come with all the quality features that PENTAX is known for, including inner focusing, water and dust proofing, and a nitrogen-purged, fully rubberized body. The focus wheel and twist-up eyecups ensure comfortable handling and easy focusing.

The binoculars' fully multi-coated optics maximize the amount of light passing through the lens, preventing flare and ghosting from interfering with your view. PENTAX applies multiple layers of coatings to every surface of every element and prism in the full Sport Optics line-up, ensuring maximum light transmission for a clear, crisp view.

The binoculars also feature new Enhanced Light Transmission Coatings. PENTAX has taken quality optics to the next level by applying an optimized film-deposition technology on lens and prism surfaces. This increases light transmission, creating bright images with accurate color rendition.

The binoculars are nitrogen-filled and waterproof (JIS Class 6), allowing them to be used in extreme weather conditions and submerged up to 1 meter. Nitrogen, a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas with very little humidity, is used to purge the binoculars of high humidity air. This prevents condensation from forming on the internal lenses during rapid temperature changes. The slightly above atmospheric pressure nitrogen purge also prevents dust and other miniscule particles from entering the housing.
