A Good Flash Unit

It has a good guide number (reasonable output) and appears to be quite versatile. It is simple enough for the casual photographer and has some features for more serious photographer. It may be used manually for full flash output or auto-TTL (with and without a pre-flash) for cameras that communicate with the unit to adjust output.

Sorry Pentax can't recommend as there is no bounce capability maybe if they noticed what there competition does they would do better.

decent lightweight flash

Used this on my K100D - this is a decent flash upgrade from onboard. Easy to use - look at the lack of controls on the back of the unit (pro or con depending on your level of expertise). Lacks any type of bounce and swivel functionality, so expect some hard lighting and shadows. Included Sto-Fen OM-PZ8 does *NOT* fit this unit!

excellent low price unit

excellent cooperation at least with Pentax K10D DSLR, very good illumination and white balance temprature, output power exceeds expectations.
