Works very well with my K1ii and KP. Have used at 120 ft away with no issues. Price is right, and plenty of You Too tutorials on how to change the battery yourself when you need to. Bought two one for each bag.

This remote performs as advertised and is a real help for things like self-portraits. It's quite small and easy to lose. It has a small hole through one corner for a lanyard, but I haven't anything thin enough to fit through the hole, it's that small. If you need it, get it; it will do what you want.

Quality: 5 stars; price: 1 star. I had treid an off-brand (inexpensive) infrared remote release, but it did not function. So I reluctantly put out 5x the inexpensive cost to get this Pentax brand. It has worked perfectly so far. A puzzlement is that Pentax has a different remote release, NOT waterproof, for essentially the same price.

This is just fine for the K1. I only use one button and it works great. I wish that it had a lanyard. And I wish that the range was a little longer. It only seems to work within 5 feet of the camera. Those are my only two complaints.

This remite works all the time when pointed to the camera. I agree with other reviews in that the push buttons are big and highly visible. It would had been better if it came with a lanyard; I will buy one to add visibility and to hang it from my neck or wrist. Price is fair. I have use it a couple in two different occasions. I'm yet to test it for durability.

What's good about this item: 1. it's supposedly waterproof 2. it's easier to hold (and therefore probably more difficult to lose) than the old Remote F 3. its butons are certainly a lot easier to see than the old remote on which the button is next to invibible What's bad: 1. the documentation 2. remember Pentax's old "power zoom" for its film slr's? The middle button is for that. I pray Pentax means it's for point and shoot cameras and not for its dslr cameras - the slr camera world yawns at power zooms. 3. the bottom button is for some function that Pentax seems not to have figured out what it is, or at least it won't say. Tacky, tacky! 4. this would seem to be a srange instance in which the accessory precedes the product(s) for which it is intended.

It does what I want it to do with my K 5 and K 20 and as far as I know should work on a K 30. it has done every thing I have needed it to do but my needs are simple. The only thing I have not tried so far is dunking it.

It does everything it's supposed to do. The instructions in the packaging are terrible. You'll need to spend some time experimenting with it and your camera.

It's very small, lightweight, waterproof enough to use in the rain forest, probably not underwater though. Works on both K-7 and K-5. I get tack sharp images when I use the remote with a tripod.
