It has an excellent tray life. I was interrupted in one darkroom session, so I covered the tray with a larger tray and came back about 24 hours later, and ot worked fine. It is one of the developers that rivals the old Kodak "Dektol" for overall performance.

I don't think I'll bother trying any other paper developer. This stuff works great! And it seems to last forever! I'm still using the same batch I diluted three weeks ago and it hasn't changed color yet. I'll keep using it until it quits working and then mix up some more.

I bought this as a convenient substitute for Dektol.

Discover the exceptional capabilities of the 120ED High-Contrast Film Developer for Black and White Paper, a premium product from the renowned brand, Photographers' Formulary. This high-quality, professional-grade film developer is a catechol-based solution, designed to deliver results akin to the esteemed Edwal 120 developer.
The 120ED High-Contrast Film Developer is engineered to produce neutral to cold tones, offering an elevated contrast level that is half to one grade higher than standard developers. Expect to achieve rich, deep blacks and an abrupt tonal range, enhancing the depth and detail in your black and white photography.
Unlike the Formulary 120, which is a softer-working developer, the 120ED High-Contrast Film Developer is a robust and reliable solution, designed for photographers seeking a more dynamic contrast in their work.
This product comes as a one-litre stock solution, which can be conveniently diluted to create the working solution. The stock solution boasts a stability of 3 to 4 months, offering efficiency and convenience for photographers who need to develop multiple rolls of film. However, please note that while the working solution has a high capacity, it has a limited lifespan.
Experience the difference with the 120ED High-Contrast Film Developer for Black and White Paper, and elevate your photography to new heights of professionalism and quality.
