It has an excellent tray life. I was interrupted in one darkroom session, so I covered the tray with a larger tray and came back about 24 hours later, and ot worked fine. It is one of the developers that rivals the old Kodak "Dektol" for overall performance.

I don't think I'll bother trying any other paper developer. This stuff works great! And it seems to last forever! I'm still using the same batch I diluted three weeks ago and it hasn't changed color yet. I'll keep using it until it quits working and then mix up some more.

I bought this as a convenient substitute for Dektol.

The stock solution boasts a six-month shelf life, ensuring that you can plan your printing sessions without concern for the developer's longevity. However, once Amidol is added, the working solution remains active for a brief window of 2-3 hours, perfect for a focused printing session.
