I say give it a try

Excellent stuff. Easy to mix and use. A great way to get a different look from your black and white film. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but definitely worth a try for experimentation's sake and to try and get closer to your artistic vision as a film photographer

I've had good experiences with Photographer's Formulary products since 2012

This time I bought my Pyrocat-HD in Glycol from Adorama for convenience sake. I've had good experiences with Photographer's Formulary products since 2012 and have had consistent success with them. "Shiprock" was developed using a dilution of 1.5:3:100 in a Jobo 3005 Expert drum and a Jobo CPP3 processor operated at 55 RPM.

A Great Developer

I've used Pyrocat MC in a Jobo for a number of years. I get good results on a wide range of films. The staining effect contributes to fewer printing steps. Highly recommended.

Make your monochrome fine prints stand out with Barry Thornton's DiXactol Ultra Film Developer. This 8.33 oz solution, specifically Solution B, is designed to make up to 10L of developer solution, providing ample quantity for your artistic and photographic needs.

DiXactol Ultra is not just a film developer; it's a tool for artists and photographers who value the richness and depth of their monochrome prints. This unique developer is known for its ease of use and tolerance, making it a preferred choice for both professionals and hobbyists.

One of the key features of this film developer is its ability to produce a wide palette of richly graduated tones. It excels in preserving translucent and delicately drawn highlights, which are particularly resistant to "blocking up" at high exposure levels. This means your prints will maintain their intricate details, even in the most challenging lighting conditions.

Moreover, DiXactol Ultra enhances shadow detail and separation to unprecedented levels. This results in a more defined and detailed image, bringing out the nuances that make each photograph unique.

Additionally, this film developer reduces the need for significant burning in, particularly in landscape skies. This leads to superior graduation in these burned-in areas, enhancing the overall quality of your prints.

In summary, Barry Thornton's DiXactol Ultra Film Developer is more than just a solution; it's a game-changer for monochrome photography, offering unparalleled tonal range, detail enhancement, and ease of use.
