I say give it a try

Excellent stuff. Easy to mix and use. A great way to get a different look from your black and white film. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but definitely worth a try for experimentation's sake and to try and get closer to your artistic vision as a film photographer

I've had good experiences with Photographer's Formulary products since 2012

This time I bought my Pyrocat-HD in Glycol from Adorama for convenience sake. I've had good experiences with Photographer's Formulary products since 2012 and have had consistent success with them. "Shiprock" was developed using a dilution of 1.5:3:100 in a Jobo 3005 Expert drum and a Jobo CPP3 processor operated at 55 RPM.

A Great Developer

I've used Pyrocat MC in a Jobo for a number of years. I get good results on a wide range of films. The staining effect contributes to fewer printing steps. Highly recommended.

Are you a photography enthusiast looking to achieve exceptional image quality with fine-grain detail Look no further than Formulary's D-25 Fine Grain Film Developer. This premium developer is expertly crafted to enhance your film processing with its unique formulation that includes metol and a gentle silver solvent, sodium metabisulfite.

The D-25 developer is designed to produce a grain pattern that closely resembles the classic Developer 12, yet it offers a safer alternative by excluding the toxic p-Phenylenediamine. This ensures not only the safety of your developing process but also contributes to the creation of images with normal contrast levels. While the developer is known for its non-staining properties, it's important to note that some modern fine-grain films may experience staining or dichroic fog. We recommend conducting a test with your specific film type to ensure optimal results before using the developer extensively.

This developer kit is not only efficient but also economical. It provides you with the chemicals necessary to prepare up to 4 liters of working solution, each with a generous two-month shelf life. With a single liter of this solution, you can process up to 4 rolls of film, maximizing your creative output. For those with higher volume needs, the capacity can be significantly increased to 25 rolls per liter when used with the Formulary DK-25R replenisher.

Whether you're a professional photographer or a film hobbyist, Formulary's D-25 Fine Grain Film Developer is an excellent choice for those seeking to produce images with fine detail and subtle tonal gradations. Elevate your film development process with this reliable and high-quality solution, and enjoy the stunning results that come with using a top-tier film developer.
