TVS-882BR - Blu-ray and RDX bakcup NAS for disc backup and burning, video playback, and file sharing
The TVS-882BR uses 7th Generation Intel 14nm multi-core processors, providing advanced hardware with enhanced tiering storage, application-based partitioning and network traffic distribution. The TVS-882BR comes with a 5.25-inch SATA expansion bay, allowing you to install a compatible Blu-ray Disc drive or a RDX docking station (models with a pre-installed optical disc drive or a RDX docking station are available). With simple installation, you can backup the content of your discs/RDX cartridges to NAS for long-term storage and easier sharing, or you can write NAS files to discs/RDX cartridges. Three PCIe Gen.3 slots allows for 10GbE/40GbE NIC, SAS storage expansion card, and USB 3.1 10GbE adapter, making the TVS-882BR ideal for diversified storage applications.
Complete backup scenarios
TVS-882BR supports multiple backup media, enabling direct backup of content from your discs/RDX cartridges to NAS. Coupled with Qfiling's automatic file organization and Qsirch's full-text search engine, the TVS-882BR brings a whole new experience for you to easily manage all the files from your discs/RDX cartridges on a private cloud. Browse files directly through File Station and share instantly with a share link. Qfiling enables automatic file organization while Qsirch allows for quick full-text search.

Easy installation, quick backup and sharing
The TVS-882BR comes with a SATA optical disc drive (ODD) expansion slot allowing you to install a 5.25" disc burner or two Slim SATA disc burners. The TVS-882BR also supports USB disc drives. QNAP provides models with preloaded Blu-ray ODD for you to enjoy disc-related applications instantly. After installing the ODD, you can browse disc files directly through File Station and quickly backup the files to NAS, saving you time and trouble from transferring files to computer first then to the NAS. Multiple sharing modes (email, social network, sharing link, share to other NAS users) allows you to easily share information to others, solving the inconvenience of sharing disc files before.
Disc backup and video playback
You can easily back up NAS-based files to discs using the TVS-882BR's optical disc drive. Long-term data archiving is possible by using popular disc authoring software via Linux Station or Virtualization Station. You can also directly enjoy disc-based media using VLC media player via remote desktop connection to Linux Station.

Virtual machine only supports disc authoring feature.
Blu-ray disc video playback is not supported in Linux Station.
Removable RDX hard disk backup
TVS-882BR also integrates the Tandberg RDX QuikStor internal SATA 5.25-inch docking station (8813-RDX), allowing for installing removable and portable RDX hard disk cartridges. You can access and manage the files on the RDX cartridges using File Station or backup/sync the files to another NAS or to the cloud using Hybrid Backup Sync. Comparing to standard external hard drives, the Tandberg RDX cartridge features a rugged dust-proof design that can protect your data for a longer period of time.
Data archiving, backup and cloning with Archiware P5
Archiware's P5 Software Suite is cross-platform data management software for archiving, backup and cloning on QNAP NAS. Qtier auto-tiering technology automatically moves frequently-used files to SSD and infrequently-used files to HDD for optimal storage performance.

The TVS-882BR comes with three HDMI ports for using three monitors in either "duplicated" or "extended" desktop configuration. QNAP Linux Station is integrated with Ubuntu OS, allowing users to download and install versatile multimedia apps from Ubuntu Software Center, such as Plex Media Server, KMPlayer, LibreOffice and VLC to play videos on NAS or Blu-ray discs. Virtualization Station supports multiple operating systems, fast VM creation, VM backup & restoration, VM import/export, snapshot, and Device Management for centrally managing VMs. Virtualization Station allows the TVS-882BR, VMs and containers to share the same LAN port. No longer constrained by physical network performance, high-speed virtual switches greatly increases data transfer between VMs, containers and NAS through the internal interface. The TVS-882BR also features Container Station, which integrates LXC and Docker lightweight virtualization technologies. You can operate multiple isolated Linux systems on the TVS-882BR as well as download apps from the built-in Docker Hub Registry. Containers Station also supports the QIoT Containers platform that helps quickly structure your IoT environment and deployment on your private IoT cloud.
Datastore for virtualized environments
The TVS-882BR is an iSCSI/ IP-SAN storage that supports VMware and Citrix, and is compatible with Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server 2012 R2, fulfilling the need for flexible deployment and management in virtualization environments. The TVS-882BR supports VMware VAAI and Microsoft ODX to increase performance by offloading server loading for ESXi server and Hyper-V respectively, and supports QNAP vSphere Client plug-in and QNAP SMI-S provider with enhanced operational efficiency and management in virtualization applications.
