This item integrats with Quantum T4/5 products seamlessly and works well with its transmitter products. One of the best features is how it form fits on the body of the flash. Also, it can be several hundred feet away from the transmitter and works flawlessly. Another thing I like is that I can change the power of the flash from the transmitter without moving flash. so if the flash is set up high on a light stand, I don't have to go over and lower the flash to change a setting. Finally, it doesn't need batteries, it works off power from the flash. What's not to like!

It works great. No battery is needed. Just plug in and good to go. But there is no secure locking so feels it will fall off or break. Use velcro or gaffer tape to secure between receiver and Qflash.

We use the FW-7Q on all of our T5dR Q-Flashes, along with the CoPilot to give us full control in both manual as well as TTL modes, without ever moving from the camera position. The FreeXwire FW-7Q needs no batteries or wires and securely attaches to the T5dR's. This beats using sync cords and other triggers (plus we now have TTL!)

Bought to trigger my T5D-R, works well require no additional battery, works in QTTL, Auto, Auto-fill, and manual mode. I have been using with a fw9t, will be using a trio for even greater control. All my trigger are quantum. I love them.

I shoot a lot of multiple flash setups. Generally I run back and forth to each flash and set the output manually. With this receiver, I can now adjust all of my individual flash outputs from the back of my camera. My only complaint is that when I ordered this item, I ordered two and one was sent to me in used condition. I'm sure Adorama did not know of the condition prior to shipping. It seems to work fine, it is just obviously used and missing the attachment velcro. Other than that one complaint, I am very pleased with this Quantum product and use it extensively.
