I purchased this and a 9T to replace the cheap infared triggers I purchased at an online auction and the cost difference has been worth every penny. The 8R is the only reciever I've tried that will trigger my Canon 580EX when installed in a PC to hotshoe adapter. This combo has proven to be an excellent setup for background/hairlight on location portraits. The channel plus zone control is very handy when shooting with either an assistant controlling a second camera or when needing multiple lighting setups in a large area. The zone control allows for the ability to trigger one, all, or any combination of flash setups and makes complex lighting a snap. It has been extremely reliable and a great addition to my equipment list.

I wish I had gotten this years ago

This receiver is a work horse. The multiple channels and individual switches make it so versatile. Large arenas are no longer a problem. You can stop the action without loosing image quality. This equipment is a must!!!

Receiver FW8R - Use this receiver with any shoe, handle mount flash or Qflash asa wireless flash sync. When connected to a Qflash (with an FW31 accessory cable)camera TTL information is relayed wirelessly. Slide the Shutter MD Delay switch to the MD position, connect a Shutter Release (Motor Drive) Cord from the Receiver FW8R to the camera shutter release connection activate a camera shutterup to 1000ft. away.
