No good

This laptop is garbage. I used it once and the screen went completely black. No display at all. I tried updating all the drivers,used diagnostics via the hp.website as the laptop works with an external device yet it still doesn?t work. I?m lucky enough to have received it for free via a university I was studying at.

Usb-c Doesn?t allow for charging or multiple disp

Usb-c Doesn?t allow for charging or docking station. It was not advertised and I didn?t know that all usb-c ports did not have the capability to charge and support docking stations. Tech support was not helpful at all. I Spent 3 hours and 8 transfers to be told nothing. Google gave me the answer in less than a min. The Automated assistant will do nothing but make you angry before you have a chance to talk to a representative.

Never again

Nothing but problems. Only supports one monitor, non display lighting port, had to totally wipe it 4 times in a week after windows crashed on all laptops I purchased from HP.

HP 255 G8

This computer is very fast, and I really like it. I am extremely impressed, and so are others. I will not buy a notebook without separate left/right click buttons on the touchpad. This computer has them. Nowadays, many do not. This, along with a 6 core processer made my decision easy.

Do not buy!

Very unreliable. Frequently can't get the display to turn on after it has been idle. HP's solution it to do a hard reset which means you lose any unsaved data. Do not buy!

Great Laptop computer. Fast with out the fluff

This computer met the requirements i had to have for the job I was required to do. I was happy I found it at HP. The project was short lived and now I have to return it. I don't want to return it. It works great. Great powerfull processor. Thanks HP.

Efficient, responsive

I used this heavily over the last week for word processing, spreadsheets, browsing, and streaming. Downloading and installing my apps was notably fast and easy. The keyboard and touchpad are comfortable to use. The display is clear. Audio is clear. The unit as a whole is reasonably compact and light. I'm probably happier with this laptop than I've been with any other laptop I've owned.
