Great portable little action camera. I purchased this camera for video recording and some minor photo. Video looks good for this type of camera and money. Stills are ok....not as sharp as i would have liked. But thats comparing it to my dslrs.

I have a number of other Nikon cameras and was very excited to get this cool little thing to take on hikes, play around with the kids etc. Although immediately after purchase we noticed that it was not really durable at all in drops or water. Now I must say I am very satisfied with the photo and video quality although I wish we had a few more video modes and the ability to use a BT microphone. Needs a feature to turn off the touch sensor. When the camera is wet the screen goes mad. Needs a more substantial charging/port door. Too easy to open with just a flick of the latch. Camera is back to Nikon service for a second warranty round. I am certain the second generation of this camera will finally make the mark, but for now this little guy is too much of a liability in the field. If you’re looking for a beta test for gen two please let me know! I am thankful that Nikon still makes the AW line because it’s actually durable to a certain extent and not just bare minimums!

I use it for mountain biking and trekking. I like it that much that it is with me now all the time. Take good pictures, waterproof, and I have it on hand whenever I need it. Don't use the phone anymore... this camera is a lot better and very durable.

I got my Key Mission 80 last week, and began using it right away. After a full charge, I turned it on, and read the Quick Start guide. In just a few minutes, I was taking pictures. This wearable camera is very solid yet lightweight, very small (which I like), and very easy to use. It will be so easy to travel with this camera, I can leave my DSLR and point and shoot at home. The menus are clear, and there are many controls, including white balance and exposure value. I tried the panorama mode today, and it was extremely easy to use; you just pan the camera, and it does everything else. Videos are also easy to take, and the vibration reduction is fantastic. It's waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof, and has a second selfie camera with face finding technology. Both cameras perform well in low light, as the lens maximum apertures are f 2.0 and f 2.2. I inserted a 64 GB micro SD card and it holds about 19,000 pictures. Battery life is very good, and a battery icon keeps you informed. There's also HDR mode, route shooting mode, and lots more. As a wedding and portrait photographer and a Nikon shooter, I'm really loving this camera, and I'll be using it extensively as I travel this month. Highly recommended, and fun to use!

Yes, waterproof. Shatter very slow. Can't get quick press and shoot. Video settings obviously limited. AF and exposure.... Below par. Evening shooting- forget it-grainy outcome, bad. Huge issue - could not stop recording, screen becomes unresponsive, locked, half pink colored, unit temperature starter to raise to about 158F/70C. Very hot. Battery drained in 45 min, then red LED finally off... Battery lasts only few hours on mixed video and pictures... If set to Wi-Fi sync with your phone, your fully charged phone battery will last 7 hours if you have good phone, or less . Don't use Nikon SnapBridge.. Design-- how you can wear it on the neck? If you don't have backpack (as advertised) unit will not be self balanced - hook strangely located off center. LOL. Need belt around your torso to attach unit holder.. weird. Don't buy, One Star for the name.

I am very disappointed with this camera. It is supposed to be a 12 MP camera but the main reason I purchased it was for the Route Shooting to capture images as I walk. In this mode, it is only 2MP. This is not indicated in any marketing materials regarding specifications. It is buried in a user manual that you have to download from the Nikon site. Further, It is supposed to be compatible with a backpack clip. I even confirmed this with a Nikon rep on the phone. Once I looked in the downloaded manual, I see that I need to spend an additional $60 to purchase two additional accessories to make it work. The website shows that it is compatible but it is not clear that the two additional items are needed. Do not waste your money on this!

I love the size and it takes great pictures. Easily fits in a shirt pocket and it's a real camera, not a phone. And Snap Bridge is pretty neat as well. Can't wait to try the video.
