Maxell LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge for LTO-1/2/3/4 & 5 Tape Drives, 15-20 Cleanings

The Maxell LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge is compatible for LTO-1/2/3/4 & 5 tape drives (50 cleanings per cartridge max). The LTO Universal cleaning tape is equipped with a computer memory chip (just like the data tape). The chip stores various information and it has an embedded code that is recognized by the compatible drive's firmware. Once the cleaning cartridge is used to capacity (15 - 50 uses, drive dependent), the drive will no longer accept the cleaning tape and will eject the tape, prohibiting further use.
