Buying OEM is the better choice in this case
I am usually not one for touting the benefits of paying the premium attached to OEM products, but years of owning and using XBOX controllers has taught me that buying on the cheap means batteries that fail to hold a steady charge after only a year or two of average use. I'm hopeful that this direct-from-Microsoft battery will yield better results.
Plus, this has the added design feature of charging the battery with the built-in USB-C port on the controller itself rather than a clunky charging stand with unreliable contacts. Furthermore, this means you can charge the controller while actively using it.

Rechargeable > disposable
I'll never go back to regular batteries. Rechargeable is so much better, and I prefer this plug-in style over come contact-charging batteries I've tried from third parties. Good to go!

Quality Xbox Series X controller battery with long battery life
High quality OEM Xbox battery for the newer series S/Series X Xbox controllers. Installation works easy and the extra type-C cable it comes with is handy for charging the controller at an extra location around the house. I still haven't had my rechargable batteries die on my 360 or Xbox on controllers which was my primary reason for sticking with OEM

The product itself is just as pictured. I received it very fast. Works just like the previous versions did on 360/one, but this is Type-C, so I can add to the cables I have for my phone, which is nice.

Cable works only with new controller.
A must needed accessory for the Xbox Series X controller, the included cable doesn't work with the older Xbox One controller as this new product is " Type C " and older one uses " USB " but works fine with the latest 2020 Xbox Series X controller.

definitely a must have accessory for the nex Xbox Controllers. I really love that they went with USB-C this time because in the past my kids have bent the connector at the top of my controller but this looks to be a much better solution.
