Super smooth, compact, and secure! Holding ball head, NikonZ6 w/adapter, and 70-200vrii. Much better than carbon fiber rod types that bend and have an uneven glide.

The slider design is made in the style of minimalism. There are no unnecessary details, this makes it possible to quickly install the slider on a tripod. All parts of the slider are made of stainless steel and anodized aluminum, the surface is very smooth. The carriage contains 8 ball bearings / 4 wheels. The movement of the carriage is smooth and almost noiseless. The perfect 24-inch size (for me) allows me to create a smooth footage of 5-6 seconds. The rail includes 1/4 "and 3/8" threaded central holes for mounting on a tripod. The carriage has a 1/4 "camera screw, to attach the tripod head, you need an adapter 1/4 " to 3/8". The legs are sold as a separate kit. For those who use only a tripod can save money - $45. And also there is an opportunity to purchase Rat Rig's motorizing kits. I give 5 stars because of its simplicity and reliability,lightweight and quick mounting on a tripod. I think that this slider will appreciate videographers who are shooting all day event or wedding for 10-12 hours.

Great little slider for the price. Very smooth motion, portable and slim design. Only complaints: the carriage post is a 1/4"-20, the problem is that most fluid heads take a 3/8" and unfortunately no adapter is provided. Also, it would be nice if they included a carrying case with the slider. Other than that, it is a fantastic little slider!

I picked up the Rat Rig 24" slider after looking at a number of other competitively priced options. I read good reviews, but was still a bit skeptical. In all, the slider is a good quality build. The action is very smooth on it and it seems quite durable. Used it this week for the first time and it delivered as promised. I did add a Manfrotto quick release plate to it. I'd be a little skeptical on the larger 39" model, though. Mounted to a tripod, I would imagine it would start to bend a bit if you have a large DSLR, mounting plate and maybe a ball head on it. But that's just my guess. The 24" model is really slick!
