Will not work with my Lyman shell holders. Takes a bit to set up.

Shell holder problem

I have 3 other hand primers and this one is the worst to set up. After it's set up it works fine

Why'd I wait so long to buy one of these? Excellent tool. Easy to change primer size. Great alternative when I've got my other priming systems set up for 'large', and I've got a limited quantity of 'small' cases to prime.

RCBS Hand Priming System

I have been handloading for about 55 years. Nearly all of my equipment is RCBS. The RCBS kit did not have a hand primer and I bought a #09540 Old style that doesn't have or use a primer tray. Until 

I purchased a progessive press (RCBS) I did a whole lot of hand priming over the years and the tool has served me all this time. I still use the tool for short runs of the 7 calibers I load. I'm hoping I can get a component part to fix a problem rather then getting the tool replace under the warranty.

I have never had a problem with RCBS dies, press, powder thrower or electrical equipment (case trimmer, case prep station and scale)

I really like this hand primer, it has reduced the amount of time it takes to prime my cases. Easy to use and a better feel of what I'm doing.

Hand priming tool

Everything is perfect with this hand priming tool. I bought about 20-30 pcs to my friends and clients now. Design is nice and comfortable to use. It holds shell very well with right shellholder.
I give it 5 stars :)

Everything is perfect with this

Finally replacing my RCBS hand priming tool my grandpa bought back in '94. Truly great design! Worked just perfect! Hopefully this one will last another 30!

Initial bit change was a bit challenging but becomes manageable after getting used to.
A few downsides though. Sometimes primers get stuck in the feeding channel so shaking is required. One or two times a primer got flipped over when sliding to the pocket so pay attention. But probably the biggest disadvantage is that if you put too much force you may seed the primers too deeply resulting in misfire.

I had been using my rocker press to install primers. This hand primer sure make quick work installing now. Using the hand primer is 5 times faster than the press and you gave a better feel for what you're doing. Wish I would have purchased hand primer a lot sooner. Primer is super easy to put together and take apart for storage or cleaning. I would recommend purchasing an extra pan or two for different type primers so you don't have to try putting primers back in containers they came in.

Hand primer

Been using the Big Green toys for over 55 Years now and have the most respect for RCBS. That includes the Green Machine that has loaded and still loads my 38 special / 357 mag. Glad I got some spare parts back when. Now have been using 5 of these presses last one I got was the summit press, along with powder machines and little dandy for my all my pistol ammo. Great company and always willing to help one out with any problems. Again THANKS FOR THE SUPER TOYS.

This ingenious hand priming tool is much more user friendly than the device on my loading press. Easy to use and has a good feel. I recommend it.

RCBS reloading equipment

Its quick but the primer seating is too much function of hand pressure. Need to practice using with spent primer before using.

I bought this model because

I've used other hand primers and none compare to the model 90200 primer. However, I lost the small plastic rod guide and can now only use it for large primers. How can I find one of these parts? All my reloading station and dies are RCBS. I've used RCBS since I started reloading in 1981. I'm your best fan!!!

It works!

nearly 20 years of service from this tool and only minor problems with plastic feed insert and a chipped primer rod. Called RCBS and had replacement part in a week at no charge. Great tool at a reasonable cost with good customer service.
