This item could have been designed better.

Should have been designed this way in the begining with a locking lid to prevent primers from falling out in case of an unexpected bump. Since I bought the original round one, are you going to send me the updated one for free? Had to bevel the bottom of all my she'll holders to work in the handle as well.

Universal Hand Priming Tool Tray & Lid Assembly

The reason I bought this was to use one with large primers and the other for small primers. Did I need it, no. Is it handy, yes. I highly recommend using these extras to make things easier.

Universal priming tool works for some calibers.

New priming tool worked great for 500 rounds of 45 ACP. Switched to 40 S&W and that did not work well. The spring loaded shell holder does not position the smaller case centered over the new primer, requires manually centering the case before raising the primer. The tray is much better than the round tray on the older priming tool and it also fits the older tool and that was the reason for the new tray.

I recently purchased several extra RCBS primer trays so I could keep different primer sizes and brands separated without have to no longer empty one tray to change primer type. With the slide lock the tray id spill proof.
