Bought to replace a 40+ year old Lyman case trimmer. Works better than the one I replaced.

Trim Pro 2, manual case trimmer

Great case trimmer, it is well built and the finish is very nice. It's operation is easy and simple, read the manual. It has two adjustments, a rough adjustment collar stop and a fine adjustment collar which works well when you learn how it works. When I had the stop collars adjusted to where I wanted it, the trimmer was cutting brass to a uniform length every time. The cutter is very sharp and cuts clean, RCBS sells a carbide cutting head which I recommend if you will be cutting large quantities of cases.

Purchased your new model just because of the shell holder. It is beyond the old collet set up by miles. I have not had the opportunity to use it yet as I have not run into brass that is too long.

I have had other brands of case trimmers, and this is the best one by far. It calibrates very easily and is easy to set up. All parts are very sturdy and accurate. There is no sloppy wobble or difficulty in processing brass.

Combine this with the processing station and you have the perfect system..

Decided to load 140 grain Hornaday FTX which requires you to trim the cases to 1.240 for 357 mag. I must say that this case trimmer was very easy to set the length and in about 45 min. I had completed 100 rounds ready to load and I have the RCBS trim-mate for the finishing touches. Another great product from what I have come to expect from RCBS.

Trim Pro 2 case trimmer.

I'm really liking this Trim Pro 2 trimmer. I'm only trimming 1caliber right now so it was set up once and start trimming! I have measured after each 50 cases to be sure, and it has stayed right on. The spring loaded shell holder works perfectly as long as you don't try to push case past the center point.

RCBS quality! What amused me was an improvement of that small space where the brass goes against: RCBS made it with tiny spikes so no more brass spinout while it is trimmed. Very well thought.

Easy to set up and adjust the settings. Was super easy to trim 50 cases as opposed to the hand trimmer I use to use.

adjustment were a bit snug upon arrival but not overly so. I love the precision of adjustment, and the ability to lock all adjustments and the pilot via set screws making large lots of brass go quicker while maintaining case length.

Another great product from RCBS. The universal adapter fits it all. Setting the measurements maybe tricky, but once it is done, trim away. Pick up the brass boss to clean up the case mouth, it is also well worth it.

Very satisfied with this case trimmer; it's easy to use. Read the instructions, installed it with 3 wood screws to my work bench, set the depth I wanted to trim my 6.5CM to, and went to work.

Universal shell holder was not setup correctly requiring it to disassembled and add spacers to adjust shell tension. Setting trim depth is a challenge. Hand gets tired cranking handle when trimming more than 50 or more cases. Does work but with a few caveats.

There is a learning curve with the trim adjustment and the universal case holder, but once you figure it out, it's as "Right as Rain". I also removed the crank handle and powered it with my cordless drill. First project was 1500 .223 brass. Very Smooth and Quick Operation.

I purchased his primarily for trimming . 45-70 brass and was disappointed to find that the shell holder is almost unusable. The specifications state for up to . 45-70 but it seems overly difficult to secure brass, at least using the star line brass I use.
