ST 15-SMA is a multi-purpose active loudspeaker, designed to be the everyday monitoring tool for rental companies and professional musicians. With its ultra compact design together with high output levels, ST 15-SMA is the answer to a wide variety of production requirements. It is particularly effective for small and big bands.

Stage Monitor
Use it as a stage monitor. The "FLAT" equalization mode is set for monitoring applications, when the system is placed on the floor.

Loudspeaker
With an easy 90 deg. rotation and a simple click on the FLAT/BOOST switch, the ST 15-SMA turns into a loudspeaker, with the equalization settings in "BOOST" mode.

Logo Plate
For the best visual impact RCF logo can be turned accordingly by 90 deg. , thanks to a simple rotating movement.

The ST Series monitoring systems feature professional RCF transducers that ensure a better performance and great vocal reproduction. Woofers and compression drivers are 100% in-house precision built RCF team takes care of all production stages, from the first design to the final testing. Engineering and production occur in their factory, drawing on RCF's superior molding and assembly technologies, as well as a highly specialized know-how and 60 years' experience dedicated to achieving extremely high standards.

Accurate And Powerful Woofer
ST 15-SMA features a professional 15" high power woofer, 2.5" voice coil, delivering extremely accurate punchy bass and precise low frequency control, making it an ideal stage monitor/speaker for small and big bands.

High-Fidelity Driver
The custom-made compression driver ensures a transparent midrange and extreme accuracy. It features a high performance 1-inch exit throat and 1.4" voice coil, with a frequency range up to 20 kHz. A particularly resistant kind of polyimide is used for the diaphragm and suspension, in order to increase the driver's mechanical strength and stability.

Amplification

Ultra-Light State Of The Art Digital Amplifiers
ST Series two-way speakers are equipped with a new generation digital amplifier, resulting in very high output, extremely low distortion and an incredibly natural sound. The limited weight of their digital amplifier facilitates transportation and thus ensures maximum usability on the road. Each amplifier presents both XLR and jack inputs, XLR output link, volume, EQ Mode (FLAT/BOOST), MIC/LINE sensitivity switch & VDE input connector. It features a solid mechanical aluminum structure which not only increases the amplifier's stability during transportation, but also helps in heat dissipation.

Integrated DSP
The integrated DSP manages crossover, equalization, soft limiter, compressor and dynamic bass boost.

In/Out Connectors
Each amplifier presents both XLR In/Out connectors and a Jack input for the maximum connection versatility.

Flat/Boost Switch
Set the FLAT or BOOST equalization with a simple click. "BOOST" is recommended when the system is used as a loudspeaker, on a floor stand. "FLAT" is optimized for stage monitoring, when the system is on the floor.

Mic/Line Switch
A useful Mic/Line switch to adjust the input sensitivity is provided. When used just for a speech, the "Mic" setting allows to use a microphone directly with the speaker. Set the selector to "Line" when using the speaker for live music or playback.

Volume Knob
An easy-to-reach volume knob on the back allows to set the overall volume of the speaker according to its application. This control does not affect the "Link" - "Input - Link" output level.

Status LEDs
3 status LEDs Power / Signal / Status are provided for monitoring the system.

Cabinet & Mechanics
ST Series features a Birch plywood cabinet, finished with an extremely resistant paint for an extensive use on the road. Every detail is developed in order to optimize acoustical performance and ensure easiness of transport.

Curved Profile For A Better Sound
Two sides show a distinctive inward curve. The reason behind this original design choice is related to sound optimization. In a cabinet with a standard design, sound waves reflect on the cabinet's edges, thus creating undesired effects of absorption and disturbance or decreasing sound coverage. In RCF ST Series sound waves don't hit the sides because of the slightly concave profile with molded edges that helps avoiding all acoustical drawbacks.

Heavy-Duty Front Grille
Instead of being simply flat, the grille shows a distinctive design with 3 sides. This arch-inspired structure adds resistance to the whole system, creating a more balanced distribution of forces when the stage monitor is subject to stress and pressure, as often occurs during tours and live performances.

Only 4 Invisible Screws
This charming cabinet is firmly anchored by 4 screws only. The screws are carefully tighten and hidden into small built-in holes, for a sleek and discreet aesthetics of the cabinet. Invisible bolts are also less subject to wear and tear.

Ultra-Resistant Steel Pole Mount
Thanks to the integrated steel pole mount, the ST 15-SMA can be turned into a standard speaker in vertical configuration with a few simple moves. The use of steel instead of plastic makes the whole system particularly reliable and robust.

Perforated Hex Grille
The hexagonal shape of the holes is chosen with the purpose to maximize the empty space on the grill, thus making sound propagation clearer, with less absorption and reflection. The perforated hex grille allows the sound to propagate freely, with less disturbance if compared to circles or other shapes. At the same time ST Series grilles are particularly strong and rugged, ideal for use on the stage.

Innovative Grille Fixing
The grille is fixed by specialized technicians in their Italian factory, with an innovative component that avoids grille vibration: a small isolating rubber element placed between the cabinet's edges and the grille, in order to avoid undesidered acoustical interference due to the grille's oscillation.

Foam Backing
A special transparent-to-sound foam backing on the inside of the grille ensures protection from dust and humidity.

Ergonomic Side Handle
An ergonomic recessed handle is positioned on the side of the speaker.
