The amplifier integrates a low-noise 32 bit DSP circuit, controlled through the RCF exclusive RDNet network to easily handle the soft clipping limiters, RMS limits, polarity, amplitude, timing and equalization. All the settings, monitoring and advanced features are available inside the integrated RDNet Networked Management software. The available encoder on the back adjusts volume, delay and presets.
Cabinet
The cabinet is made of high-quality birch plywood. Every layer is glued with a special water-resistant adhesive that makes the cabinet perfectly weatherproof. The subs are stackable and light-weight, for an easy set-up and tear down. A pole receptacle on top and side allows the woofer to be deployed in various situations. The transportation is fast with the detachable Kart kit: a dolly caster-board with rugged tour grade casters and rotating cam mechanism.
High Performance Hypervented Woofer
RCF manufactures these components to deliver the cleanest, punchiest and undistorted low frequencies reproduction. In order to dissipate the heat generated by the powerful voice coil, RCF engineers have developed a unique internal ventilation system with very low power compression. The Hyper Ventilation System is the result of a complex combination of ventilation ducts in the voice coil former, in the magnetic structure and in the woofer's basket. Besides, the demodulation rings reduces the harmonic and intermodulation distortion associated due to the voice coil displacement and, as input current varies, the system inductances are more linear. The cone is water resistant.
The Good Flow
The airflow in the vented ports suffers the turbulence of the air due to the speed of air. It's common knowledge in fluid dynamics that the turbulent airflow is reduced with a smart design of the port. The improved vented port is a proprietary solution that helps to achieve a good aerodynamic behavior of the air (laminar), gaining efficiency and reducing distortion.
Networked Management And Much More
RDNet is a proprietary protocol for RCF products that provides straightforward monitoring and intuitive control of the audio system down to every device/object. Each device has its DSP, giving the possibility to address specific presets or parameters change to single or groups of objects. A network user can change level, delay, EQ and other parameters, including advanced subwoofer configurations. Not only loudspeakers: it is possible to control routing and parameters of multiple RCF devices, like digital matrixes or amplifiers.
