Review Summary
The TT25-A II is the most flexible and powerful tool in its class. TT25-A II offers very high output and dynamics and extreme linearity and accuracy in a compact size.TT25-A II is a 2-way active system featuring a 15" neo woofer, 86 mm voice coil in a bass reflex configuration; 1,5" exit, 100 mm voice coil neo compression driver; 90deg. x 60deg. constant directivity horn, 90deg. rotating.
The TT25-A II is the ideal professional speaker for sound reinforcement, live performances and events. The design philosophy of the new products in the TT+ Series is based upon offering ready-to-use solutions and tools to the sound engineer. A key advantage is the ability to sustain very high power with efficient sound pressure levels. Intense sound levels are created with remarkably high definition and extended dynamic range.
Lightweight
Modern construction materials result in light mechanical weight ratios, for practical flying and portability. The TT25-A II loudspeakers are very easy to move and transport, for unparalleled user's comfort.
Precise Response Curve
Thanks to the new algorithms developed by RCF R&D Department and the on-board DSP, the TT25-A II ensures a very precise response curve across all frequencies.
One Loudspeaker, Multiple Functions
The TT25A-II speakers can be used as PA or stage monitors. The cabinet features Quick Lock pin receptacles, a pole mount, top and bottom fly tracks and side rigging points, thus allowing a full range of usage possibilities.
Amplification
Class D - State of the Art Power
Two independent digital amplifiers - 800 W low frequencies, 300 W for the high frequency driver - deliver an astonishing output power making the TT25-A II one of the most powerful 2-way speakers in its category. Our class D amplifiers offer hi-fi sound, extremely low distortion with negligible quiescent noise and stable burst response.
Accurate design and great efficiency
The amplification module is housed in a separate chamber and mechanically insulated from the cabinet's vibration, for maximum reliability in the long term. Thanks to the incredible efficiency of our amplifiers, no fans are needed for a very quiet functioning.
New Algorithm
A newly developed algorithm offers constant linearity from very low level signals to the maximum amplifiers' output.
A 32-bit floating-point DSP with 48 KHz processing takes care of
2-way crossover's and transducers' alignment
8 programmable equalizations
Programmable output time delay
Input sensitivity reduction
Soft limiter and gentle compressor for very high signal inputs
RMS current monitoring and transducers' protection
Input noise reduction
A specially developed algorithm takes care of the frequency dependent soft limiter offering to the listener the same linearity of the system from very low level signals to the maximum amplifiers output .
RDNet On Board
A dedicated processing area is available through the included RDNet input board. Remote monitoring, special custom equalizations, high and low pass, single way Solo and Mute and many other options are all available on RDNet.
The Rear Panel
The rear panel features a simple rotary encoder that allows full control of all the speaker's functions. A simple command on the panel allows to disable the input panel and remotely control the speaker.
Transducers
HF Design
The HF transducer is a high performance 4-inch diaphragm compression driver with a 1.5 inch exit throat featuring several state-of-the-art technologies. RCF has developed an oxygen-free process of molding ultra thin films made of pure titanium into high-quality precision diaphragms. Our process offers superior sonic quality extended to the highest audible frequencies, which guarantees consistent power handling and reliability. The diaphragm and suspension are precision formed from .05 mm (.002 in.) pure titanium. A special dampening adhesive is applied in the area where the titanium suspension is bonded to the assembly ring, in order to remove distortions or resonances.
Direct Drive Voice Coil Assembly
The voice coil is designed using a strong, high-temperature Kapton voice coil former and copper-clad aluminum wire with a rectangular profile. Parts are assembled using advanced, especially formulated adhesives. Proprietary annealing processes ensure optimal assembly resistance and safe operation even under extreme thermal conditions.
The top of the former is bent and bonded directly to the edge of the titanium diaphragm resulting in a Direct Drive configuration. Direct Drive ensures an optimal energy transfer between the voice coil and the dome, thus providing a smoother and extended frequency response beyond 10 kHz and reducing break ups and distortions. The result is high power handling with excellent mechanical and thermal properties, that make the compression driver particularly reliable and robust.
Woofer Design
The TT25-A II new woofer offers an extremely fast and accurate bass response and a natural and neutral mid-range response. A very strong neodymium magnetic structure guarantees good dynamics and precision, while a new and unique 3.5" voice coil provides a very high power handling - especially if compared to standard voice coils. The unique Dual-forced air venting system guarantees a very efficient ventilation to minimize power compression and provide higher power handling.
Inside/outside Voice Coil
RCF has developed a unique voice coil, combining the advantages of the inside/outside technology with the superior quality of polyimide-imide materials (wire resins and formers resins). The inside/outside coil offers many advantages
The dissipation surface is doubled
The adhesion area to the former is doubled
During thermal expansion the former is squeezed between inside and outside layers ensuring the best mechanical resistance
Our inside/outside formers are made from polyimide-imide fiberglass and the area between the coil and the cone is a triple layer made of Nomex - fiberglass - Nomex, for maximum stiffness and accurate sound transfer.
Cabinet
Compactness and lightweight
The TT25-A II two-way speakers are exceptionally lightweight, for easiness of transport and rigging. Their compact size facilitates usage for several different purposes.
Water resistant baltic birch plywood
The cabinet is made of high quality Baltic Birch plywood. Every layer is glued with a special adhesive that makes the cabinet completely water resistant even before the painting process.
Heavy Duty Polyurea Paint
The painting division inside our factory uses a special polyurea paint to create a very thick full coating of the cabinet, thus making it highly resistant to scratches and bumps.
Heavily Braced Internal Structure
The internal structure is heavily braced to survive long term use and transportation. All parts are assembled on metal inserts with metric screws. On the top and at the bottom of the cabinet there are two large metal brackets for safe rigging day after day.
Handles
The cabinet features two newly designed, powder coated side handles in die-cast aluminum with rubber hand-grip. Thanks to the internal scoop design it is possible to use the handle in three different directions, thus facilitating transport, positioning and loading operations.
Rigging
The speakers offer many rigging possibilities
Top M20 insert
Pole Mount on the bottom
Top and bottom fly tracks (6x)
Side quick-lock pins (4x)
Side M10 rigging points (4x)
