RCF TTS 18-A II 18" Active High Power Subwoofer, 1400W RMS Power

The RCF TTS 18-A II is a compact, high output subwoofer module ideal in combination with TT+ two way systems. The RCF TTS 18-A II woofer features lightweight neodymium magnet, inside-outside copper voice coil; silicon double spiders; water resistant treated cone; magnet assembly with minimum power compression. The amplifier section features 1400 watt RMS SMPS class-D Amplifier with full DSP and RDNet network capabilities.

Monitoring And Management Network
The new RDNet release features extensive improvements. The audio system is now configurable in Groups of speakers or in the new Array clusters, the Air Compensation and the Cluster Size shaping are more precise and controllable, as well as the FiRPHASE gain. The subwoofer configuration is faster, even for complex EndFire set-ups.

Active Advantage
An active sound system means having the power amplifier on-board of the cabinet. This brings some advantages:

• No additional amplifier rack(s), saving space in the truck
• The sound quality and performance are optimized to the individual components inside the speaker
• The RDNet Networked Control can monitor each component of the system

Top End Electronics
The amplifier integrates a low-noise 32 bit DSP circuit, controlled through the RCF proprietary RDNet network to easily handle the soft clipping limiters, RMS limits, polarity, amplitude, timing and equalization. All the settings, monitoring and advanced features are available inside the integrated RDNet Networked Management software. The control panel on the back adjusts volume, bypass, delay, presets and advanced functions.

High Performance Hypervented Woofer
RCF manufactures these components to deliver the cleanest, punchiest and undistorted low frequencies reproduction. In order to dissipate the heat generated by the powerful voice coil, RCF engineers have developed a unique internal ventilation system with very low power compression. The Hyper Ventilation System is the result of a complex combination of ventilation ducts in the voice coil former, in the magnetic structure and in the woofer's basket. Besides, the demodulation rings reduce the harmonic and intermodulation distortion associated due to the voice coil displacement and, as input current varies, the system inductances are more linear. The cone is water resistant.

Cabinet
The RCF TT+ cabinets are made of high-quality birch plywood with weatherproof treatments. The subs are stackable and light-weight, for easy set-up and tear down. The polyurea coating and the rugged structure of the cabinet withstand long-term use and transportation and the separate housing for the amplifier guarantee the best components efficiency and reliability. A pole receptacle on the top and side allows the woofer to be used in various configurations. Transportation is fast thanks to the detachable Kart kit, a dolly caster-board with rugged tour grade casters and rotating cam mechanism.

The Good Flow
It's common knowledge in fluid dynamics that the turbulent airflow is reduced with a smart design of the port. The improved vented port is a proprietary solution that helps to achieve a good aerodynamic behavior of the air (laminar), gaining efficiency and reducing distortion.
