Printer is great , love the speed
Printer is great , love the speed , the amount of print it gives, great to have duplex printing. Just to figure out all the features now. Love it great entry level printer, my church whom I bought it for loves it also.

Initial use of the Ricoh Aficio Printer reflects a truly Awesome printer, one that I look forward to using and enjoying for very long time; I have used many printers in the past but this is proving to be superior to all that I have used in the past.

An all around great printer
Main reason for getting this printer was price plus ability to print wirelessly from an iPad. Price was great due to Adorama special. Printer arrived slightly faster than I was expecting and it arrived in a very sturdy box.
Inside box was also a lot of papers and discs...all inelegantly strewn on top of printer which was very well protected.
The information was not the best...it was a bit of a chore to sort it out and determine what to pay careful attention to and what to set aside. Turns out setting up the printer was also anything but intuitive...it couldn't be done without tech support.
Tech support guy was, however, superb...I had tried to familiarize myself with the printer's "interface" which turned out also not to be particularly intuitive, but thanks to tech guy I got the hang of it and "understood".
Unfortunately, the printer did not recognize presence of router (modem) automatically, even though it was just a few feet away...this was a pity, because it made it necessary to make printer "see" router via the "dial pad" on the printer, which was a bit tedious and had to be done very, very carefully, but it worked.
So setting up was not "walk in the park"...but once that was done, I had the added luxury of printing from my Mac Pro, after tech support helped with installing driver (also not intuitive, if one were to try to follow included information, etc, exclusively)
In addition, I got apps for my LG G4 and an iPhone, so with that bonus, it all turned out great.
Print quality is perfect – it is an ink jet printer so paper quality will matter, but the printing is great. Installing ink jet cartridges is suoer-easy. Just follow instructions.
Paper handling is "good" – if paper is of not-so-high quality, printer may leave a little "ding" at top of paper.
This printer will be very lightly used – one purpose was to be able to print maps in color, but there will be no heavy use. – And that about sums it up.
I should add that this printer is also a fax and a scanner and a copier – scanning wirelessly may turn out to be an attractive feature.
I gave it five stars – given the fact that setup is not easy, I would have given 4.5 if the option was available.
