This all-purpose cinematic powerhouse boasts the high frame rates, superior lowlight performance, and exceptional resolution of the V-RAPTOR line, enhanced by the global shutter advancements of the KOMODO series.

The V-RAPTOR (X) 8K VV sensor represents the pinnacle of digital cinema image-making, utilizing RED's latest 8K VV sensor technology. This camera offers the advantages of large format, global shutter, high framerate, 8K acquisition, all housed within a compact, feature-rich body that weighs just over 4lbs.

As the first large format global shutter camera on the market, the V-RAPTOR (X) sets a new industry standard. It incorporates the key features of the original V-RAPTOR, including 2x 12G SDI's for unique monitoring views, a locking Canon RF style lens mount for a wide range of lens options, and CFexpress Type B media for up to 800MB/s formats such as 8K 120P.

The V-RAPTOR (X) also introduces improved in-camera audio pre-amps and a redesigned sensor cavity to minimize stray light and enhance contrast performance. With the introduction of RED Global Vision, the camera offers extended highlights for more detailed HDR finishes or softer, more subtle highlight roll-off for SDR.

The V-RAPTOR (X) and the DSMC3 platform also feature advanced connectivity solutions, including remote control and monitoring, in-camera Frame.io integration, AWS direct upload, RED Connect for live 8K R3D video over IP or live 4K over SMPTE ST 2110, and more.

The V-RAPTOR (X) Starter Pack is a comprehensive setup ideal for owner-operators, run-and-gun style shooters, or anyone seeking to leverage the V-RAPTOR's agile and versatile form-factor.

The pack includes the DSMC3 RED Touch 7" LCD Monitor, offering an HD viewing experience with a 1920 x 1200 resolution display panel, peak brightness of 1300 nits, and 100% DCI-P31 Color Gamut coverage for exceptional color accuracy.
