The DSMC Al Leica-M Mount is designed with user convenience in mind. It features captive mounting screws, eliminating the need to search for hardware. Moreover, it comes with a new OLPF frame, which is required for the use of the Leica-M mount. This replacement OLPF frame is compatible with all DSMC lens mounts, and the upgrade can be performed by the customer or by Red Digital Cinema, free of charge.

Please note that due to mechanical limitations, M series lenses with rear elements that project beyond the rearmost face of the lens bayonet lugs are not compatible with this lens mount. Attempting to mount a lens with projecting rear elements could result in damage to the lens, mount, or BRAIN. If you are using an EPIC MYSTERIUM-X or SCARLET MYSTERIUM-X camera, you may need to install a new OLPF frame, which is included with the DSMC AL Leica-M Mount. Leica-M lenses are incompatible with older models of the OLPF frame originally installed in the EPIC MYSTERIUM-X and SCARLET MYSTERIUM-X.
