This DSP-based dual-output delay unit is designed to deliver exceptional audio performance, making it ideal for the most demanding applications. The RU-ADL2 is engineered to accept a single monaural audio input and provide two distinct monaural outputs, each with independently adjustable time delays ranging from 0 to 135 milliseconds. The front panel features a large, bright 3-digit LED numeric display, ensuring clear visibility of the time delay settings for each output. Users can easily select and adjust the desired output using a locking pushbutton switch, with time adjustments made in precise 1-millisecond increments via durable keyboard-style pushbuttons. For added convenience, holding a button allows the time to ramp slowly at first, then more rapidly, facilitating both coarse and fine adjustments. A locking pushbutton enables users to bypass the DSP time delay section without losing stored delay values, which are securely saved in non-volatile memory, ensuring the RU-ADL2 retains its settings even after power interruptions.The rear panel is equipped with terminals for full remote control, including a LOCKOUT terminal to disable front-panel time adjustments, enhancing security and control in professional settings. Audio connections are facilitated through XLR connectors or full-sized barrier block terminals, ensuring robust and reliable connectivity. The adjustable INPUT GAIN is monitored by a front-panel dual-LED LEVEL meter, which follows standard VU ballistics. A green LED indicates audio levels 15 dB below +4 dBu, while a red LED signals when levels exceed +4 dBu, ensuring precise monitoring.Output levels are fixed at nominal unity gain, maintaining consistent audio quality. The RU-ADL2 operates on ground-referenced 24 VDC power, connectable via barrier block terminals or a rear-panel power jack. Versatile in its application, the RU-ADL2 can function as a standalone delay unit or be integrated with multiple RU-ADL2 modules for expanded delayed outputs, making it a flexible and indispensable tool for audio professionals seeking superior performance and control.
