I have been using it with my Rode Video Mic go 2 and it works perfectly, plus I can change the gain in my iPhone with their app called Central.

You need this Cable!

Its a cable! It works! Its the best cable out there I think because it is the ONLY cable you can use with the iPhone.

UPDATE THE FIRMWARE

IF this doesn't work with your VideoMic NTG and gives you a "This accessory requires too much power" warning, UPDATE the VideoMic Firmware. My mic was on Firmware 1.1.0 and the new version was 2.0.0. After contacting support and returning my first one (Rode support didn't tell me to update the firmware) I stumbled upon it on Rodes website. Now it works!!! YAY!!!
