Works exactly as advertised
This cable is very useful. It has allowed me to connect a variety of audio products to my phone and have them recorded with my video for quick turn around and low fuss social media posting.

Works great with smartphone!
My camera does not have an audio port so I got this cable to connect with a Rode VideoMicro to use with my phone. This cable works well with my phone and extends enough to accommodate the set-up I have.

May be faulty
I have used my SC7 cord for a couple of weeks now and have noticed that it no longer is sending signal to my iPhone. The Rode Wireless GO mic and receive are working as normal, and my iPhone is depicting the "headphone" logo meaning it is definitely recognizing the input. However, upon video playback, audio sounds as you would expect if you weren't using a microphone at all, just the phone itself. So many cables, adapters, and issues, its very hard to tell what is the culprit. But we believe it is the cable.
