Amazing compact shotgun microphone. Perfect size for guerilla style shooting or narrative work. I suggest buying a furry filter for exterior shots... Produces quality clean sound and has a lot of on device options for fine tuning. I use it for documentary style shooting and interviews on my canon C300. Works great!! No complaints.

I have been through many mics and this, so far, has worked great for my needs! I make educational videos and my last mic was super tinny sounding in the room I need to film in. This mic has worked SO much better.

Best mic I have used for the money.

I use this mic to record ?talking head? style YouTube videos with my phone and it works perfectly! Great sound quality and build quality, and the fact that I can podcast with it or use for Zoom calls via USB is a huge bonus.

It looks great, and works better.

This mic performed as well as its much more expensive cousins in my environment.  The fact that it is able to be used as an analog mic (via the 3.5mm trrs jack) or as a USB mic makes it extremely versatile for the kinds of work we find ourselves doing these days.   Excellent mic.

Must have mic

It's rare when I use it as a video mic, but it picks up sound much better than the Rode Videomicro I used to use.  The micro wasn't great for video conferencing, but the NTG has been great.  Significantly better than built in audio, and I can leave it plugged into the USB.

Haven't yet used it for voiceover work, but I have done audio tests, and it has worked great.  The default settings pick up more bass than other mics I've used, but it sounds more to me like my voice than the others.  I have not compared it to other mics in the same price range.

Got this yesterday - already excited to use it. Bought this primarily to use with a camera, but works seamlessly with my iPhone 12 Pro Max too. It plugs in directly to the Lightning Port w/ a SC-15 cable, and auto-senses accordingly. 
 
 
Lucky enough to get what (I believe) was the last one in stock, I highly recommend ordering the Rode VideoMic NTG when able.

This is a do everything mic which will replace my VideoMic Pro which is a few years old.  So far it seems amazing!

Performed admirably when paired with the WS11 for outdoor recording.  Battery life is very good and the auto On/Off that is linked to the camera is convenient.

I haven't gotten to use this microphone extensively yet, but so far it's great. So many modern features are what make it so attractive to me.

I did get a faulty microphone at first. It worked, but a rattling noise would show up in the recording at the slightest shake. I sent it back and got a replacement and it works great.

I could not get it to work right out of the box.  I should have spent a day playing around and practicing with it before trying to use in a live video shoot on camera with a Canon 5D Mk4.

A YouTube video demonstrating how it works and how to use it would also be helpful.

Great Sound

I'm completely new to the world of audio, purchased this as a Swiss Army knife of mics, to help with a bunch of different uses. So far I'm super impressed. Regardless of where I need amazing audio, my phone, camera, MacBook, etc this mic does the job. Love the rechargeable battery, and easy buttons and use. Just a great mic, and that's exactly what I was looking for.
