Easy to install and setup. Great customer service

Great camera

Had to go through a lot of ordeal to get the camera working with the Swann app. They do not release the prior owner from the camera so I had to call Swann 5 times before they released it. This is also a Hard Wired System so be aware of that. Other than those problems the system works great!

Recommend buying New. Not Refurbished!

Dead within the first year. After they switched to a different app, the functionality deteriorated. Then it just died altogether. Complete junk.  I would not recommend it to anyone.

Dead within the first year

I bought this camera last month to replace a 15 year old analog light kit that was working fine, to add the camera feature for my back door. The new light kit is so sensetive every mosquito and moth make the light kit come on and the lightest breeze or insect triggers motion. Now you'd think, that a light that would attract moths and mosquitoes would be able to 'tune them out' like my old analog light kit (had a small sensitivity knob) but there's no setting for this.  I called support to ask if I was doing something wrong and they said there was no option to make it less sensetive. So the only option left is to turn off all the security recording and light kit features and use it as a $200 remote peep hole for the back door. It says it works with Alexa, it doesnt. It says it works with google home, it doesnt. It doesn't integrate with ring. It is the least functional, least connected option I've ever seen. TERRIBLE SOLUTION.

Lack of control and way too sensetive

I have 2 of these cameras. They have had problems from the beginning. But they worked out the bugs. That is why I bought the second one. When I had a problem I would call support system and they would get the problems taken care of this past 2 weeks, I've had problems with one not recording or notifying me. It is on live feed. I contacted system contact 3 times. They still haven't helped me in correcting the problem. I'm ready to buy something else if they can't get the problem fixed. Very disappointed.

Set up today, working great. No issues with the images and now a few house later I  see this on 1 of my cameras and can't figure out why.  4 cameras, issues is bottom left image, blurry.

East to use but camera issue

We bought two cameras one for the front of our house and one for the back. The motion sensing unit is not sensitive enough. The one in the front works more often than the one in the back. We have had to pair them several times and the instruction manual is too vague and gives no insights into the problem. There are some nice options in setting the light intensity, sound level, motion levels, light on duration time ect. I like these options but would rather have a camera that works at least 90% of the time. It's more like 50% of the time...... Not joking. These were the only ones left at Menards. Now I know why.

Works sporadically......

I reasently purchased this item directly from swann cctv products themselves and its awsome absolutely fabulous I'd highly recommend swan products ect excalent quality for your money worth every penny some ates little price but excalent performance and swann themselfs very professional  extreamly helpfull n polight they do everything they can to sort and solve any and all quierues apps n getting hold if swann customer setbices foes need more esyness in being able yo get hold of you more easierly and the instruction books ect more detailed  on all your products please and stronger perfomance againts bad weather ect other tha. Thst best thrre e is well done to all of you at swann sercurity ??????????????????thank uou

Swann wifi floodlight cctv cam

Don't buy this. It's a waste of money. Slow to respond to movement, doesn't come on half the time, records for approx 8 seconds before cutting out, and sends multiple ( and by multiple I mean 80+)  notifications for one detection.

Absolute junk!

I installed this on the front of my garage to replace an existing motion light.  
At first it seemed ok, better than the Xtreme wireless camera I installed on my house at the same time.  But since cold weather set in, the light will come on and off randomly. Sometimes walking in front of it won't make it come on at all, or it won't stay on even when constantly moving in front of it.  The camera sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, which makes this worthless as a security device.
It does stay connected to WiFi better than the Xtreme wireless camera, even though it is quite far from the router.

Not reliable

Records when it wants to. App takes to long to load if motion was detected. Thief's would be long gone before this app opens. Would not recommend or purchase again.

Terrible security camera, not recommended!

I bought 5 SWIFI-FLOCAM security flood-light wi-fi cameras for my two properties.  The cams work great and love the LED lighting. However the app and/or camera network functions are crap.  I've gotten intermittent connection, random notifications that come and go, connection issues through the Swann Security app, and now the latest reinstall of the crashing app has COMPLETELY FROZEN MY iPHONE AND CANNOT REBOOT.  I will be getting rid of your trash products immediately and going to Ring.

Intermittant connection issues on app!  Your network UI and app is JUNK!

Camera is more than a Year old, device does not record clips states devices storage is missing. Been with swann tech support with no solution. Camera is Poor quality.

Was working great ,was very happy . Then got glitchy  then stopped working.. i emailed ,called many times got 1 call back was told to do new soft wear app. Did that  worked hours on trying to get it to work after spending 200+ dollars and hours trying to get it to work again with no further help from swann I gave up. I will not recommend them. Not happy.

Floodlight camera

The camera has a hard time recognizing a car until it's almost right on top of it. But yet alerts me to a bird. The clips after seeing motion are very small, yesterday I had my car towed and it didn't notice a tow truck come get my jeep.

bought this light several months ago and it won't connect to internet. tried several times and it always says its connects without an internet link. waited to long now i can't even return it

wont connect

I bought this camera last month ,but performance wise not good at all comparing to the competitors in the market .Price is expensive than the others and always false alarm. No way to setup zones to reduce the false alarm. Having issues with connectivity even though its showing 56% WiFi signal. Not at all happy with the camera positioning cant turn to one side

not the best in the market

I have 3 of these installed on the outside my house. None of them work properly. The light at the front comes on and off continuously and doesn't capture any video footage. Left support case with Swann which has been totally ignored. The other 2 lights work on and off but are difficult to control through the Swann app, which has become nearly useless after a major "upgrade" at some point last year. Complete waste of money and nonexisting support from Swann.

Bought 3 - none of them work properly

My house got broken into during last holiday season in 2019 so I installed a few of these around the house for deterrent (motion, inferred and sound sensors on the newer model floodlight) as well as real-time 24/7 monitoring with alerts using their apps.  I even got a discount on my homeowner's insurance for installing these. Swann is a leader in security monitoring industry and I feel much safer after installing their product.  
 
This product worked flawlessly during the first 6 months.  The installation was quick and simple and included most of the hardware you need.  In my case, my electrical box was not deep enough so I just used a few washers to give me extra depth needed.  The camera paired the first time and the app and image quality was amazing.  The main housing unit is made of some kind of heavy duty metal (not like cheap plastic) that can withstand many years of weathering.
 
However, the bad reviews that you read about connectivity and app issues earlier this year are all true. It all started around May of 2020 when Swann had issues with one of its vendors that effected its app. As a result, my cameras were forced to their new app and that is when all of the issues started.  I was not getting alerts anymore, the camera would frequently go offline and then I could no longer pair one of my camera.  I spent endless hours updating the firmware, updating and re-installing the app and resetting the units and on the phone with Swann's tech support.  I was considering writing 1 star review but wanted to give Swann more time to transition to a new vendor and app.
 
After updating firmware and app, the camera seems to be working as before.  However, Swann tech support could not pair one of the camera so they processed a warranty claim and sent me the newer model camera for free (but you need to return the old unit at your own expense).  The new model (SWIFI-FLOCAM2) installed with no issues and I love the new sound detector alert.  Swann's product is top notch with no hidden subscription fees and they stand behind their product.

Amazing security camera

Very disappointed. The detection is very variable, you can stand waving arms and light dosn't come on , then later it triggers completely randomly coming on seconds after going off with no signs of any activity..  My wi-fi network has strong signal but the app drops all the time and has to be reset. The lights are excellent when on , but what good are they if not triggered at the right time ?  The camera operation is the same, as its triggered by the same detection. I've tried altering sensitivity but makes no difference. I took down an old led floodlight (which worked great with excellent detection levels to fit this new camera/floodlight but now wished I hadn't bothered.  I will be putting the old but very reliable light back up.

Worst camera ever

Such a waste of time and money.  Stopped working after app update and no support available.  Read the Play store reviews on tye app.. 
4.5 stars on this website is a complete crock.  Do not buy!!

Doesn't work

If you want a flood light, this will work fine. If you want a home security camera to see live views or review clips, but a Nest. App rarely works. Motion alerts work but won't show the live feed. Just a black screen. I'll be returning the second one I bought but haven't installed yet.

Straight Garbage

This thing is junk. Support is terrible. Constantly disconnected. the APP doesn't work most of the time. Have to repeatedly sign in with password. Can't get a live feed from the camera. So slow to connect the intruder would be long gone before you could do anything.

Sounds like it has everything you want but doesn't work!

I'm big into security for my home for my family/friends.  It seems lately that I would a security system and seemed to do ok but then it would stop working.  I received the Swann security Camera and WOW what a difference.  I feel so nice and secured for me and my family.  I love the wi-fi option and the floodlight is so bright I love it.  It was very easy to install and worked right away.

Best Security Camera

Super easy installation of this floodlight if you already have an existing floodlight. My husband literally had the old removed and the new Swann installed within an hour. 
It has excellent quality video. Very clear and I get a push notification immediately when someone comes in my driveway. I especially like the two way talk feature and admittedly have used it to admonish my boys horsing around. 
There are different option modes. Home, night and away. You have full control within the app. A surprising bonus is the free storage that comes with it. Most other providers don't offer it free.
Another thoughtful feature is the ability to dim the lights. If you don't need them at high you can dim them within the app. 
The siren while not going to alert your entire neighborhood is another nice added feature. It will effective against unwanted intruders and is just loud enough to alert you inside. You can also set this in the app either to go off on its own or you can set it yourself to sound.
Push notifications are quick. 
I had no issues connecting to my wifi and love it connects to my Alexa. I can see the camera from my Echo! 
Definitely overall I am really pleased with such a feature packed and affordable security floodlight.

Easy install, excellent video

I'm a big believer in 'better safe than sorry.' I love how this security camera has put me at ease with the knowledge that my house is protected. This product covers a worrisome blind spot. I do not have access to the alleyway behind my house apart from the garage door. When something is troubling me outside, I have to walk around the block to get to my garage rather than opening it to who knows what. This security camera has given me vision and access, not exclusively within the confines of my home, but remotely as well.
I was admittedly too timid to install the camera myself, but it took my electrician no time at all. He removed an exterior light and installed the floodlight security camera in its place. Beyond that, wif-fi connectivity worked better than other security devices I own and pairing the camera with my phone was straightforward.
The camera itself provides great picture both during the day and night. Unlike other smart home security units, the floodlights are triggered by motion detection providing the same high quality color vision you'd get during the day at night (not the traditional grainy black/white version. There is night vision too, but I don't know why I'd ever have to use it/prefer it. The camera also provides a wide angle for optimal viewing. I appreciate the addition of a heat sensor so that motion only triggers the lights and camera if it corresponds to humans/animals rather than inanimate objects, though this seems to function better in theory than in practice. I like that the lights are dimmable. Most of all I enjoy having options in terms of my ability to save footage via local back-up and cloud storage. Plus, it's weatherproof!
While I have yet to test it out, I am excited to explore how to use the system with my Google Assistant.
There are a few areas that leave room for improvement. Firstly, the camera is very sensitive,
even on the lowest sensitivity settings. This causes a number of false alarms. Secondly, while the app is self explanatory, it leaves what to be desired considering it's meant to be used as a home security system. Lastly, the volume. Neither the siren nor the two way audio are especially loud.
Overall, this is a durable product that will give you increased control over your home security and while there are things that could use some fine tuning, I would still recommend it.

Good blind spot coverage

Most important first you will need a strong wifi connexion to use this product. 
This product is really awesome it was  easy to installed and set up we used the app to do it.  The app delivers a step by step guidance that is very helpful. We installed it in our main entrance in place of our lights. I love that i can set the lights as i like it. I also like how sensitive is the motion detection it is actually my second favorite thing. The night vision is very clear and also have different settings. The video and sound are high quality.

Awesome  product

I installed this flood light security camera at the rear door of my home. It is a great looking, well built fixture. The camera and lights work perfectly to illuminate the area and give me piece of mind. I would definitely recommend this!
