This is a high end ball head at a reasonable price. Very well made, much better than my 2 Manfrotto's of 15 years, and well engineered. The included plate is great for most cameras. I use it with a Sunwayfoto L-bracket made for my D610 and the included plate for my big lenses. The dovetail mount is the ONLY way to go!

The build quality is excellent, easy to setup and operate. The quick release plate is easy on and off. The only negative would be the rotating base is very stiff and that is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I use it with a Canon 1D mark IIn and a 500mm f4.5 lens without any problems.

It's sturdy and can handle my Nikon D600 with a heavy Nikor 28-300 lens. I also like the slot in the head that allows portrait configuration. I use it on my tripod and bought another one for my monopod (even though it adds considerable weight to the monopod). I bought an extra plate since the safety catch on the head to prevent accidental plate removal is a not the easiest feature to disengage.

Hesitant to buy a ball-head; however, this is the best purchase I have made - EVER! Awesome performance; flawless accuracy; quick release sturdy and reliable; perfection in its simplest form. I wonder how I ever managed without this....buy this product - you will be pleased.

Recently bought an L-bracket so I could quickly and easily switch from taking verticals to horizontals. Needed a new ball head with an arca-swiss feature. This was recommended so I purchased it. It works great so far. Very stable and attaches securely to the L-bracket.
