I picked up my SL2. In July 2023, probably a little late in its product life cycle. Had I know the SL3 was imminent, I might have waited. Nevertheless, I love the SL2. I've decided to emphasize taking portrait-oriented photographs more, mostly as a new way of seeing things Less than 20% of the photographs in my catalog are in this orientation. I've been shooting these recent photographs in the 5X7 aspect ratio. 

I decided to try the Leica HG-SCL6 handgrip to see if this helps shooting. It does, very much so. Of course, it makes the camera much bigger, so it's a little tighter in my Tenba bag. Nevertheless, it fits. 

I also purchased the leather hand strap to use with it. If I didn't also use a leather Leica shoulder strap, I might find the hand strap more useful, maybe even necessary. But with a shoulder strap, it is sort of extraneous. I'm still finding my working rhythm with this. 

But the multi-function handgrip is great!
