The Genaray SSL-50 is a daylight-balanced 50-inch strip LED continuous light source that provides even illumination and a soft wrap-around light. In the studio, its 50-inch length is perfect for lighting full-length portraits, headshots, and product photography. It also excels as a background and accent light for group shots. Thanks to the positioning flexibility of its included lollipop mount, the SSL-50 is an excellent choice for shooting physical forms and product shots in vertical and horizontal orientation. In addition, the integrated full-length barndoors can cut the beam to a very narrow strip, which gives precise control over the light and shadow cast on subjects or backgrounds. The bright 400-bulb LED array has an integrated diffuser for a soft wraparound beam that eliminates the multiple shadows associated with LED lights.

With a TLCI of 98.3, the SSL-50 delivers superb color accuracy. Its power output is digitally controlled by a dimmer that ranges from 1% to 100% brightness for a full 6-stop range. The fixture runs on AC or battery power, and it's passively cooled so there's no fan noise that can disrupt a video shoot.

The sturdy lollipop mount makes the SSL-50 ideal for shooting physical forms and products in vertical and horizontal orientation. It furnishes a ball-head attachment that makes it possible to aim the SSL-50 in practically any orientation, so you can fine-tune the shadows it casts on your subjects. The ratchet locking handle assures a secure hold.

Horizontal or Vertical Orientation
In horizontal orientation, you can create a wide wraparound light that's perfect for fashion and portrait photography. In vertical orientation, the strip can create dramatic and cinematic shadowing for photographs and video.

Stepless Dimming
The dimming buttons adjust the brightness from 1% to 100% in one-degree increments for a full 6-stop range. It lets you dial in the precise brightness you need for a perfect exposure.

Battery or Plug-In Power
The light operates on either battery or plug-in power, so you'll never be left without a way to light your subjects. If you're not able to plug in, or worried about people walking or tripping over your power cables in a crowded room, you can switch to battery power in seconds.

Quiet Operation
The SSL-50 operates quietly without a fan. That's good news if you're lighting a video shoot and you want to record live sound or dialog. The heat sync effectively dissipates heat and makes it possible to operate the fixture for long periods without overheating.

Multi-Voltage
The SSL-50 can run on North American and international voltages. Take it with you, even if you're leaving the country to shoot abroad. Just remember to bring the right plug adapters (sold separately).
