Using this with an Ursa Mini 4k and a BMPCC 6k Pro. Although not a cine lens, it works well. Comes out to about 18mm 35mm equivalent with an acceptable fisheye distortion for most work. Focus can almost always stay at infinity for my work so no camera jitter from adjusting focus. Great on a gimbal. Has that Rokinon slightly soft beautiful video look.

It really takes great shots. No need to spend the money on a Canon. All manual but easy to get used to. Quite sharp.

It’s a fun lens, and fair quality for the price. Would recommend this to anyone with a similar budget for a fisheye lens!

Trying to get used to the perspective of fisheye. First one ever owned. I've been playing with it for only a short period of time and so far I am impressed. This is a very sharp lens and I can't wait to try long exposure night shots with it

Bought this to use in the waterhousing for surf photography. I am surprised that it works pretty darn good good for a manual lens for sports/action.

This is a great 12mm FX lens at a great price. Acuity, contrast, color all first rate. Low distortion for a 12. Nothing to hold you back from saving money and getting a no compromise 12mm. Note: It is manual focus. For this working pro, that is no big deal as DoF is so big (as with all superwides).Just buy it if you need 12mm.

I bought this to go with my A7RII. Of course, it is a manual lense but I was pleasantly surprised that it works with the focus assist in my camera. Appears to be sharp, maybe a little soft on the edges, but is a good lens at a nice price. Adorama was very quick to fill the order and send it out for quick delivery.

to be honest, my expectations were low going into this purchase based on previous Rokinon experiences, This particular lens has really impressed me. it’s build quality is solid and i’ve come to love the manual nature of this lens. if you are worried about the lack of autofocus, for me, it isn’t missed. C’mon, if you cant tell when something is in focus or not maybe photography isn’t your thing (haha), because of the super wide nature of this lens it’s really easy to focus IMO. my copy is sharp throughout the frame, even at the corners. it’s super fun getting creative with this lens.

Love it! Great lens, easy to manual focus. Use focus peaking or zoom in. I am a university photography professor. Quality is very good and it is very sharp.

Definitely would recommend buying this lens. I use it on my Nikon D610 and I am very happy with the results. At F22 you basically cant take an out of focus picture and the star bursts from this lens are simply amazing. The only way you could possibly make this better is if you put in autofocus or in camera aperture control but neither of those are big factors for how I shoot at night. Optics are great. If you like fisheye distortion this one is somewhat mild compared to some others and holds sharpness to the edges stopped down a notch or two. Stopped down to f8 and hyperfocal focused it becomes point and shoot. The grease used for the focus ring is perfect... one finger focus is possible. I use a sony A7RII and mostly legacy Nikon glass so I ordered this in nikon mount to get the smallest size for the camera bag. If you don't want curved lines go with the 14mm Rokinon. I like it equally well but more caution is needed when focusing and selecting aperture combinations for good edge sharpness.

I have the Rokinon 24mm f 1.4 lens for night photos using my full frame Canon 5d Mark III so am used to the manual lens. I wanted a wider lens also for night photography so this fit the bill. It is fisheye so I defish the photo in Photoshop for landscapes in the horizontal orientation. For vertical orientation, the defish is mostly unnecessary because the distortion is minimal. The photos are very sharp with some distortion on the vignette edges. The focus is accurate at infinity, unlike my 24mms lens so I don't have to tape it in place. It is a great lens, especially for the price.

Great price and solid build. Available under 3 different company names. I tested it indoors and outdoors. The manual focus was fine because anything over 3 feet is set to infinity. The manual F-stop was no big deal. I returned it because it was not very sharp when zoomed in to 100%. Adorama made the exchange simple. I purchased the Canon 8-15mm Fisheye. After extensive testing, the Canon has a zoom, has auto-focus, F-stop is controlled by the camera, and it is sharper (although 3x the price).

Let the Rokinon 12mm F2.8 Full Frame Fisheye Lens for Sony E Mount elevate your photography to new heights. This high-quality lens offers a 180-degree diagonal angle of view on full-frame cameras, providing an ultra-wide angle and distorted perspective that's perfect for architectural interiors, expansive landscapes, and creative experimentation.
With its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture, this versatile lens performs exceptionally well in low light situations, while also providing some control over shallow depth of field. Its innovative optical design, featuring 12 lens elements arranged in 8 groups, includes three elements made of low dispersion ED glass and two aspherical lens elements. These elements work together to minimize coma and chromatic aberrations, ensuring sharp, color-accurate imaging.
The lens is further enhanced with a nanocrystal anti-reflection (NCS) coating and UMC coatings, which improve light transmission and reduce ghosting for clearer, more vibrant photos. Its internal focus system not only maintains a compact design but also prevents the front element from extending during focus, making it a reliable choice for any photographer.
As a manual focus, manual aperture lens, the Rokinon 12mm F2.8 is user-friendly with a wide, easy-to-grip focus ring and bright markings for aperture, distance, and depth of field. The durable metal barrel houses a removable petal-shaped lens hood for additional lens protection.
This lens offers a 12mm focal length on full-frame cameras and an 18mm equivalency when used on APS-C format cameras. Its unique distorted perspective is ideal for capturing interiors, landscapes, group shots, and other wide-angle applications. Experience the difference with the Rokinon 12mm F2.8 Full Frame Fisheye Lens for Sony E Mount.
