Great combo. The 35 is a newer lens design and certainly more refined in behavior than the 50, but both are sharp and render nicely IMO. The only real drawback is that the 50’s AF is a bit noisy and slower relative to newer nearly instantaneously focusing models. It’s not bad, just similar to the micro motor Canon lenses of years past like the EF-Mount 50 1.8 and 1.4 lenses. The lack of a MF/AF button may bother some folks, but I rarely shoot in MF so it’s not an issue for me. I’d definitely look into getting the dock if you buy one of these lenses to update the firmware - may have to pick it up internationally or used - it wasn’t available in the US when I bought it. For the price, it’s a really nice combo that punches above its weight.

Beautiful lenses, great build quality, workable autofocus for an unreal price. This is the bargain of the year. If you're like me and want a Sony body but can't afford the lenses these are for you.

Good quality construction, quality optics, especially the 35mm f1.4 and a great kit price. Recomedable
