Not suppose to be compared to higher end cinema prime lenses
Great options for beginners or people starting over and are on a budget. This prime 50 can really be used to achieve great looking images. Too often, people attempt to compare the Rokinon line to higher end cine glass. That should not be, or at least, higher end productions do not want to compromise on breathing, bokeh, coating, minimum focus distance etc. Use these lenses and move on if you decide to, but these lenses show great what's in front of them. Put something great in front of them and nearly anyone who knows what they're doing can make the image look great. These lenses from the Rokinon line were marketed to entry level filmmakers so essentially they're not suppose to be compared to higher end cinema prime lenses.

NEW FAVORITE LENS
This is my first manual lens and I am absolutely in love with it. It captures a clean crisp image and due to the nature of being a videographer we can’t always control lighting situations so the fact that it works very well in low light is a life saver. Despite its size, it honestly is lightweight so if you have a steady hand, you won’t struggle to use it without a stabilizer. I would definitely recommend this lens and honestly getting the four lens kit would probably be 100% worth it if we all work as well as this one.

Excellent Lens for Video and Photography!
I've been using this lens for shoots for a little over a week now and love it.The build is fantastic, the crispness of the images are top shelf, and it works GREAT in low light scenarios where other lenses fail.It definitely has stepped my visual production up a few notches, and my clients have been happy with their results.Only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because it is a MF lens, which can get tricky while shooting video if you don't have a stabilizer. All in all, I'm happy with the lens and will most likely buy more from Adoroma/Rokinon in the future.

Great glass
This series has the same glass as the Veen series. Treat them with care and they will do a great job

Great lens for the price
This is a great lens for this price point. The image is sharp, the build quality is solid and I highly recommend the whole Rokinon Cine DS line for anyone looking to get cinema lenses without breaking the bank.
