Film emulsion offers great tonal range when exposed at box speed and processed in HC-110 (dilution B). Grain seems to be a little bit finer than Ilford HP4 but slightly courser than Kodak Tri-X 400. I have not attempted to stand develop or push/pull this film yet. The only con I have is the film base seems to be rather thin, almost paper-like. This makes it slightly fumbly to load into reels for developing.

Works wonderfully for portraits or all around shooting. A bit more expensive than most films but worth it for the different look due to the slight infrared sensitivity .

great film that gives a classic black and white look without being cartoonish, or simply poor quality (what most "vintage" looks actually are).

Rollei Retro 400S is a fast, fine-grained panchromatic black and white film with an ISO of 400/27deg.. A great general purpose film, but also suitable for almost any professional assignment. It features excellent sharpness and contrast as well as high edge sharpness. Coated onto a modern clear synthetic polyester film base (PE) which allows for better/easier scanning.
