Explore the world of professional audio with the Digiface Dante 256-Channel 192kHz USB Audio Interface. This high-quality, lightweight, and portable device is designed to deliver superior sound and versatility, making it an ideal choice for musicians, producers, and audio engineers.
The Digiface Dante is more than just an audio interface. It combines Dante network connectivity, renowned for its audio over IP protocol by Audinate, with the advanced features that RME is celebrated for. This includes USB 3.0, MADI, Total Mix FX, and exceptional options in both USB and standalone operation.
This innovative device is equipped with RME USB 3.0, a Phones Output, Total Mix FX, ARC USB, Word Clock I/O, 2x Gigabit Ethernet (802.3 compliant), and a MADI I/O coaxial. It uses RME's mature MADIface Series driver for Windows and macOS, ensuring the lowest latency and industry-leading stability.
The Digiface Dante is a USB 3.0 from/to Dante interface, offering an external and fully mobile option to the internally used Dante PCIe card. With the latest Total Mix FX, it can route and mix as many independent submixes as outputs are available. The included high-quality phones output allows for a quick listen to any audio channel, but can also be used as a line output to provide an additional analog stereo mixdown.
The device is equipped with the largest Dante module, allowing 64 channels to be sent and received via the network. The two BNC sockets for word clock I/O are switchable to MADI I/O, with up to 64 channels. The total sum of Dante and MADI, 128 channels, are transferred via USB 3.0 and handled via both Dante control software and RME's Total Mix FX, for comprehensive and hassle-free control of all audio.
The Digiface Dante also offers the functionality of a switch, connecting up to 4 network lines, removing the need for additional switches to distribute and collect network lines. It also offers redundancy operation with 2-port connectivity for both the primary and secondary network.
When used without USB, the Digiface Dante automatically turns into a 64-channel Dante/MADI converter. The analog stereo output can be preconfigured to send out a mix of exactly those channels that are needed. Full network redundancy and switch functionality are also available.
With USB bus power operation and an external power supply connection, a stable and redundant power supply is ensured. As Dante has become AES67 compatible, the Digiface Dante supports another format on the network side for even greater flexibility and more applications.
Like all the latest RME interfaces, the Digiface Series also includes the powerful digital real-time mixer Total Mix FX. It allows for practically unlimited mixing and routing operations, with all inputs and playback channels simultaneously, to any hardware outputs. The Digiface Series includes a dedicated Control Room section with Talkback, Main/Phones, fader groups, mute groups, complete remote controllability via Mackie or OSC protocol, and much more.
RME's latest software, Total Mix Remote, enhances the power of RME interfaces by enabling remote control via iOS, PC, or Mac. With a straightforward setup process, users can quickly adjust any aspect of Total Mix FX on a host system while walking around the studio with their tablet or from a control room located elsewhere in the facility.
The interface comes with RME's unique software toolbox for metering, testing, measuring, and analyzing digital audio streams. On Mac OS X, it provides unique functions and features of the spectral analysis of the data calculated in hardware level right through to sophisticated multi-channel level meter. On Windows, an additional multi-track recorder and the display of playback data from an audio software are also available.
In summary, the Digiface Dante 256-Channel 192kHz USB Audio Interface is a reliable, advanced, and professional tool that offers high-quality sound and versatility for a wide range of audio applications.
