The Roscolux Tough Rolux is constructed from three discrete layers, with the colored layer sealed between two microscopically thin layers of clear film. This innovative design minimizes dye migration, further enhancing the product's longevity. Known as "Supergel" in overseas markets, Roscolux is currently the most widely used filter range globally, thanks to its superior quality and performance.

The Roscolux Tough Rolux is made from two types of plastic, with over 65% of the product composed of co-extruded polycarbonate plastic. The remaining portion is made from deep dyed polyester. Unlike ordinary color filters that are manufactured by surface coating clear polyester plastic film, the color in Roscolux products is not merely painted onto the surface. This unique construction method prevents the dye from being easily removed by heat or physical abrasion, thereby reducing fading and scratching.
