You can achieve the densest light diffusion with the Roscolux Tough Rolux, a 20x24" sheet of high-quality light diffusing material. This product is designed to spread light nearly 180 degrees, providing a broad and even illumination. As part of Rosco's premier Roscolux range, this light diffusing sheet is crafted using a unique tri-extrusion process that ensures an extended lifespan, even under the intense heat of theatrical lights.
The Roscolux Tough Rolux is constructed from three discrete layers, with the colored layer sealed between two microscopically thin layers of clear film. This innovative design minimizes dye migration, further enhancing the product's longevity. Known as "Supergel" in overseas markets, Roscolux is currently the most widely used filter range globally, thanks to its superior quality and performance.
The Roscolux Tough Rolux is made from two types of plastic, with over 65% of the product composed of co-extruded polycarbonate plastic. The remaining portion is made from deep dyed polyester. Unlike ordinary color filters that are manufactured by surface coating clear polyester plastic film, the color in Roscolux products is not merely painted onto the surface. This unique construction method prevents the dye from being easily removed by heat or physical abrasion, thereby reducing fading and scratching.
The Roscolux Tough Rolux is available in sheets of 20in. X 24in. (50cm x 61cm) or rolls of 24in. X 25ft. (61cm x 7.62m). For those requiring larger dimensions, the Cinelux line of filters is available in rolls of 48in. X 25ft. (122cm x 7.62m). This product is perfect for professional lighting applications where quality and durability are paramount.
