The colored layer is sealed between two microscopically thin layers of clear film, minimizing dye migration and extending the product's effective life.

Unlike ordinary color filters that are surface-coated on clear polyester plastic film, over 65% of the Roscolux line, including this Lux Red Diffusion, is made from co-extruded polycarbonate plastic. The remaining part of the line is deep dyed polyester. This innovative construction method ensures the color is not merely painted onto the surface, but is integral to the material itself. This results in a product that resists heat and physical abrasion, reducing the risk of fading and scratching.
