As part of Rosco's premier range of filters, Roscolux is crafted using a unique tri-extrusion process. This involves sealing a colored layer between two microscopically thin layers of clear film, effectively minimizing dye migration and extending the product's lifespan. This innovative manufacturing process sets Roscolux apart from ordinary color filters, which are typically made by surface coating clear polyester plastic film, a method that often leads to quick fading and scratching.

Roscolux, also known as "Supergel" in overseas markets, is currently the most widely used filter range globally, a testament to its effectiveness and professional-grade quality. The product is comprised of two types of plastic, with over 65% of the line made from co-extruded polycarbonate plastic and the remainder from deep dyed polyester.

This versatile light diffusing material is designed to be placed in front of a light source, softening and diffusing the light to create a more even and natural lighting effect. It's perfect for use in both photography and film production, helping you achieve the ideal lighting for every scene.

The Roscolux Light Tough Silk is available in sheets of 20in. X 24in. (50cm x 61cm) or rolls of 24in. X 25ft. (61cm x 7.62m). For larger dimensions, the Cinelux line of filters is available in rolls of 48in. X 25ft. (122cm x 7.62m).
